A girl from another family joins MC's party as a follower claiming that her family wouldn't take her along because she's too weak. As a matter of fact, she's trying to swindle the MC into getting into a higher level and then getting him killed just so she can steal his dagger. Just when her plan was about to succeed, other people who she had robbed in the past ganged up on her alongside with her guild members. They robbed her and then left her for defenseless to the monsters. It's been revealed that she wants to accumulate as much money as possible because she wants to leave her guild. She hates her guild because her guild's god, Soma(?) only cares about making wine. His main goal in life is to make the best wine available,which ended up costing a lot of money in his attempt to create it, but only resulting in 'failures'. He was unable to cover his cost even with selling his 'failures', which was itself of superb quality and highly addictive.In his attempt to get the money to finance his wine research, he created his guild and from time to time give samples of his 'failures' to his guild members, leaving them addictive to the wine. He promised to give a small sample of his 'master piece' to the guild member who contributes the most to his research financially. As a result of their addiction, the guild members resolved to all sorts of methods to get as much money as possible, including illegal means. The girl's parents died in an attempt to get that money and although she hates her guild, she was forced to join it because her parents were members of it and Soma refuses to relinquish her. MC saves the girl and had her join his party for real. Hestia and MC offered the girl to join their family, but she cannot do so as Soma refuse to allow such unless she pays a large sum of money. The girl's level is also relatively low because Soma refuses to upgrade his guild members' levels unless they pay a sum of money to him. Meanwhile, during this volume, Freya indirectly gives the MC a grimoire, which gave him the ability to use a powerful fire spell that doesn't require any incantations. He can use it simply by calling out the name of the spell. While training to use the spell, he ends up using up all his mana when he spammed his fire spell. Aise managed to find him lying unconscious and when he woke up and found himself in Ais's arms he panicked and fled.

Spoiler for Vol 3 based on what I remember:

MC finds Eina on the street, with Ais beside her. Ais offers to train him, which he reluctantly accepts. While training, he almost kissed her when she slept. After training, the two went shopping together. When they tried to order food from a store, they found themselves ordering food from Hestia. Hestia goes nuts about the two and took them to a more quiet location to reprimand the two of them, but all three of them were attacked. Wanting to test the MC's strength, Freya hired goons to attack MC and co. After Ais and MC repelled the thugs, Hestia allowed the two to continue to train together, but only for a short while(until Ais' next expedition). Deciding that the MC's biggest weakness was his lack of self confidence, Freya orders her henchman to release a minotaur in the lower levels in order to force the MC to confront his fears. The minotaur rampaged and killed a number of people, including the guild members of the girl from vol 2(the same people who robbed and left her for dead). MC fought the minotaur and before long, Loki's party hears of the minotaur and tries to eliminate it, but the MC tells them to the minotaur's his kill. The guy who joked about the MC being the 'Tomato Sauce guy' remembered who he was and initially laughed,stating the MC's so screwed,even refusing to help the MC when the girl from vol 2 begged him, citing that weaklings deserved to die, but was soon surprised by how effective the MC fought the minotaur, as well as how he could use magic without incantations. He was furthermore dismayed when he realized that the MC was able to fight the minotaur effective despite being an adventurer for less than two months. After the MC defeats the minotaur, his level increased. Ais and co. rushed to him and found that all his stats except for magic were S or above.One of the stats was actually SS.

After reading the manga up to chapter 13, Adventures get stronger depend from the stats. So, if adventures level up, the stats get reset to I0.
What is the advantage of level up if their stats become I0 again? Isn't it make them weaker!
And what is the different if level up at stats SS with the lower stats example A?
I don't understand even after reading the machanism at the first page.

It may simply say I0, but the greater their stats before leveling up, the greater their strength. So just because someone is level 2 doesn't mean they'll actually be stronger than level 1.

So, you can say that level is the basic strength and stats are addition strength. Higher level has higher basic strength.
But, how much you gain basic strength when level up depend how high your stats. If you max the stats to SS and level up, you can gain much of basic strength compare with lower stats.

I think levels don't provide any sort of strength directly. Things is, once you've reached 999 SS. You can't increase that stat anymore. So you have to level up so you can start over from I0.

I'm not sure about that. It's true that 999 SS is as high as you can go on any given level. However, in one of the chapters it is stated that the act of leveling up itself gives a huge boost in stats. So a level 1 with all maxed stats will still lose to a level 2 with low-mid stats.

The blacksmith is a descendent from a lineage that can craft magic swords (recall that magic abilities are rare and OP as hell in this world), but he hates his family so he refuses to craft them. He partied up with Bell, who got to test his Argonaut skill, which is an "active action" skill that acts as a charge ability (think arcades like Street Fighter). They started heading to mid-floor at the end of the main plot.

One of the side story involves Dian Cecht demanding payment from Miach (Mian, who is Dian Cecht's son in Irish mythology); we then find out about his assistant Nadha's silver arm, which pretty much tells you the neta for the character is legendadry Irish king Nuada Airgetlám (but Nadha is female in the story). Airmed, who is Miach's sister in legend, is Dian Cecht's Familiar member. Feel free to read more here..

Another is the early days of Hestia and Bell when they first began their Familia.

Interestingly enough, according to the legends, Nuada is killed by Balor (more here, the Second Battle especially; Bell might be Theseus, David, and Lugh all in one), whom in the story is the Monster Rex of Level 49 (highest level monster known to date). Tale-wise, Balor is killed by a spear made from the Goibniu family, whom also appeared in this story and one of the patron of his craft is Ais; she carries an indestructible sword made from Goibniu himself. After reading Sword Oratoria though, indestructible means "super high endurance", as the acid-bomb-powder-thing from the Lamia-type creature past level 51 can still wear it down a little (even though they evaporated everyone else's weapon).

Dionysus and Demeter also made appearances in the side story; Dionysus is supposed to be "fighting" with Hestia for one of the spots of the Twelve Olympians gods in myths, but he might be against Loki instead in the story; he is the most mysterious figure in the story right now. Hermes also appeared in the web and Apollo[n] and Ares were mentioned by name in Volume 4 and web respectively. Would be interesting to see the rest of The Twelve (massive bonus points if Zeus is a sexy, but so far the gender for the gods have been unaltered).

There isn't much else that can be said without a ton of typing (I apologize since this is getting long already ...), but there's also this gathering (furigana デナトゥス, no idea what that is) during which gods assign titles to people who reach level 2. Since half the adventurers are still stuck in level 1, getting to level 2 is kinda a big deal. But really it is a joke feast cause the bigger families usually bully the small families and give really retarded names like "Burning Fighting Fighter" (I wonder if this is a neta to Oreshura, who's also GA Bunko) to their newly rank-upped members. Ais was supposed to change from Sword Princess to Sword Master but they don't think it fit her image (they also proposed to name her "Our Waifu" but Loki threatened physical violence so they gave up ). Bell was "spared" cause Freya told them to come up with something cute, so he's named "Little Rookie".

Finally, there's not a single person nor demi-human younger than Bell (so far). This is the definitely the novel (gospel) for (older)siscon .

Ais also begins to question this "upper limit" in volume 4. You guys are right this is true that 999 is max is common knowledge, but I very, very doubt most people even reach S to begin with. Ryuu mentioned that D is the first indication one earns the right to rank up. In the web version, Omori mentioned that most people would rank up around the D to B range (the line is axed from the novel i believe). Ais, who is literally the child prodigy in this series, took one year to reach rank 2 at the age of 8 and eventually got stuck at level 5 for 3 years. Each expedition only gives her like single digit points and she was not even at S. She probably carried this stat and ranked up in volume 2.

tl;dr: nobody actually reached the so call "Counter Stop" limit before so they didn't know you could cross that line.

PS: I hate that "level" could mean "floor" and "rank up", which makes the discussions incredibly confusing for myself when typing this.

No one really,despite, IIRC, the official sources actually lists Hestia as the official heroine. Even so, while Ais is like Mikoto, Hestia is like the Index of this show. Most characters in this show except for the MC are like support characters.None of the characters other than Bell should really be called main characters. They do not constantly appear and Hestia's role in the story is mainly restricted to upgrading the MC and sometimes providing emotional support.

Think about it this way: the longer Bell stays in Dungeon, the less screentime there is for Hestia. With deeper floors where you cannot do same day return, the interaction with Hestia decreases as well.

Mikoto is a girl from Takemikazuchi, aka. Take/Takkii by Hestia and Hermes respectively; she just ranked up and currently is the most likely candidate to join Bell's party.

Anyway, there are excellent news!

Book 5 will be May 15th, and Sword Oratoria volume 2 will be one month after at June 14th. Apparently I was very wrong about Omori's speed, but still don't know what happened between book 3 and 4. Danmachi is also ranked first place in another award hosted by people who work in bookstores, but the votes are very low (43 to be exact， though I suspect no more than one person would vote from a given store and with the prevalence of digital books etc. there are less bookstores to begin with). Given the requirement I guess there wouldn't be a huge number of turnouts; the publicity of this award is the about same with another web blog based vote, which means not much weight but some reference value still. Some bookstores do hold a small corner dedicate to this so take it for what it's worth I suppose.

The editor that posted this information on the GA blog said there would be another good news coming soon. I don't know if he's talking about himself or the series. If the message is about the series, then maybe it's ◯◯◯化
