Well, I'm not sure what brought this one about, but we have a "re-imagining" of the Jinki Extend story coming as an eroge sometime this year.

Looks like we'll have back all our main females from J:E as well as two new heroines. (one of whom is obviously based on Shiba) I have to admit, I'm not sure what to think (although not due to bad feelings), but as an devoted Jinki fan, I certainly look forward to this. (although I do feel disappointed that it seems Aoba isn't making the cast)

Giga, the company doing JE Re:Vision, is the company that makes the BALDR Force eroge series, which are mecha action games. With hentai.

A lot of eroge are like this actually; strategy games, action games, puzzle games, etc, just with hentai scenes in them.

Now that I've (mostly) gotten over my utter confusion and disbelief that this has happened (seriously, I've never heard of a non-hentai anime being turned into an eroge

), I'm super revved up for this. Especially being a die-hard Rui fan, I'll look forward in particular to her route.

Thank god they waited until now to announce this. We only have up to 6 months to wait. (assuming no delays)

No main page up for this game yet though.

Giga has the main page up now, although there isn't much on it yet of course. Whatever small remaining suspicions I had, born out of disbelief, that this was some kind of extremely elaborate prank are now gone.

The future of eroge is looking bright!

Now, maybe some more eroge will be made from some of the other anime/manga series.

I'm not very familiar with Jinki but I've seen a couple chapters and episodes of the anime. Isn't Aoba the main character? And she's not going to be in it?

Actually that girl in the first image is one of the two "new" heroines introduced for the game. She's int he second scan, and inthe second scan, she looks much more like Shiba. 'Cause we never see Aoba pull that kind of evil grin.

Maybe she will be an unlockable character, or Giga is faking us out and will announce she's going to be in it later or something *shrug*, but at the moment it doesn't look that way. I do find it disappointing that she might be in it too, though.

Well, only time will tell but, I do hope they include Aoba in there. I also wonder if giga will keep the whole mech theme from the anime or if will just be pure love ADV....

I'm sure they will. The comptique scan hints at that pretty strongly.

Which reminds me, I keep forgetting to put up a short summary of the story summary in the comptique scan.

The new main character (his name is in kanji, and I'm bad with that >.> ) and his one-sided-love-schoolmate Akao witness a container falling into the forest. (which I bet is a Jinki) Heavy kanji makes it hard for me to make out the rest, but it talks about them meeting a man with a deathly feeling(?) (maybe Ryouhei?) and someone/something else in kanji I can't make out.

Wasn't Giga also responsible for Baldr? So I assume they'll keep the mechs alright.

Yes, and since the Baldr series seem to be really good (haven't played those myself), we can hope for some really good adaptation.

Once again, as I suggested in another thread, this game is AVG. If it have actual fights (not visual novel style) then it's genre should be more than just AVG. (Baldr Sky's genre is Cyber punk ACT + ADV. as shown in a scan. Go look at it in Danbooru)

It's it usually the other way around? You know, school life eroge -> weird fantasy action anime with nothing to do with the original eroge except characters.
