That was a sweet little episode. Hamster's been an enjoyable character since the first season, and this episode was probably the closest to the Ayumu moments from that season that I remember. The flashback story and the present story had some really heartwarming interaction with Hayate and Ayumu, and the metajoke with Eri Nakao talking about her own birthday is the kind of thing I always get a kick out of. Even snuck in a reference to ZKC The Unlimited. It's not being done as frequently these days, but that is the sort of thing I expect from Hayate. I'm quite enjoying this season.

Although I wish they had done greece arc, as long as they keep adapting the manga, there's still hope.
Nishizawa is my favorite character, even above Athena. She is normal, treat Hayate well and was the first to confess to him. She lacked love on the second season (they removed the chapter where Hayate works as her buttler, and I'll never forgive that). But this episode give us a bit more of her normal sweetness. |

nice episode
Nishizawa and Hayate psychological battle was really good Nishizawa is one of the few girls that have really good chemistry with Hayate so was the thief wearing some crazy cosplay or something? (also that mask he was wearing look like Ichigo from Bleach)

I absolutely loved this Episode. Though it helps that Nishizawa happens to be my favorite girl of the show, this episode was the most similar to the first season and the references I loved back then.
ZKC threw me off guard, but the Dragon Quest references (Crocodine with a mask, Flazzard and the Bloody Scryed) made made me really happy. God, I miss the narrator. |

Hamsters freak out when finding out they gain more kilos that their body weight can handle.
However, they freak out far more senselessly when their friends completely forget about their birthdays, although said friends are feigning ignorance in order to throw them surprise parties. Unlike what was depicted in this episode, Japan is actually the safest country all around the world with the very lowest crime rate, hence, it's perfectly safe walk hamster girls all way back to their homes in the middle of a cold, dead night. |
