Thanks for doing 18 Saizen! Oh and Gooral do you mean you watched 18 before the first 17? That's odd...
Oh and guys, it looks like there was a Season 2 of Ashita no Joe but it does not have a forum but I am going to post it here since it is pertinent. I will ask the mod guy who does stuff to just link it here since this thread is small we can talk about both seasons right? http://animesuki.com/series.php/416.html |

OMG 19 just came out. It's not dropped! I <3 you Saizen, best series ever.
Also guys, there's only the 1-4 batch by LiquidAnime listed on the tracker I mentioned above (season 2) but I found more episodes of season 2 on Nyaa by another subber called Takara who did 1-5: http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=191030 http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=194025 http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=195713 http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=197415 http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=198909 So especially with the last one seems to cover the one after LA's batch. I don't plan on watching this until finishing the first season though. Also in the process I stumbled across this one for the first season by "ClubberW", it seems like it might be episodes 10-33 or something. I haven't actually checked it out though. I should tell Saizen about it so they might review it or something? http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo...16&showfiles=1 Last edited by tyciol; 2011-05-13 at 11:57. |

Ashita no Joe, probably one of the most memorable anime from the early 70's becoming a phenomena in Japan at that time.
When Rikishi died on the ring a funeral was taken place to commemorate him. Just loved the opening song performed by Bito Isao which still brings shivers whenever I hear it. |

Oh and, keeping up with the times, it looks like Hokuto no Gun has teamed up with Saizen and released 20-24 relatively rapidly. I got me some torrenting to do... You guys may notice 2 version, DVD and XviD re-encode. I want to point out: for episode 20 it does not say XviD but it is, the MKV version is not listed on the animesuki tracker but it is here: http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=217082 I really wish I could figure out how to put together batches, this one's definitely due for a massive batching. Oh and guys, even though the tracker was up earlier http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/416.html Ashita no Joe 2 does not seem to have a forum thread. I think it would be cool if the mods could direct it to this thread, since we could talk about both series on here. Right now LiquidAnime's 1-4 and Takara's 8-9 are listed, but this is incomplete. I checked Takara's blog and it looks like they've been doing more : http://takara-fansubs.blogspot.com/s...20no%20Joe%202 I don't see the first episode but it looks like they have continuously been doing episodes 2-9. Ah okay, I usually go for MKVs so glad not missing out.
One thing I will give to .avi though: if you want to use windows movie maker and have subtitles, a hardsub is good for that. Softsubs don't convert, can't get the subs to show up on WMM when doing a clip series or something. Ah well. Edit: Since posting in august, where up to 24 had been done, by mid-October HnG/Saizen has now also done 25-29. FEELS GOOD MAN. Last edited by tyciol; 2011-11-05 at 14:20. |

Just saw a large number of episodes in batch which i had missed previously. It's really amazing how the quality of the series holds up so well compared to today's shows.
In modern anime you will hardly find a main character who is as much of a dick as Joe is. It's really remarkable to find a guy like that in an anime. Stuff like that which reminds me why old anime is so much better than the crap being churned out these days.
