I loved the first season. Watched the english subs and then watched a bit of the english dub. Fantastic anime. I love that it was more than just a romantic comedy as how it is usually being touted around.

Definitely not a fantastic news since it was postponed.

But, have any of you guys watched the new OVA? What's it all about?

The main character in this one is Matsuda Yukihisa, who took over the Rising Star orchestra at the end of the first season. The ep is about him and Chiaki's little rivalry thing, his silliness, and his romantic events with his multiple girlfriends. Nodame makes a little hilarious cameo too.

Sounds pretty good, even if it's not about the main characters.

there was an OVA for the first season:

"Special Lesson 1" February 16, 2008
A 15-minute special that takes place before the main events of episode 9, it details a detour Chiaki, Nodame, Mine, and Masumi take to the mountains on their way to the music festival.

other than that, im not aware of any OVA for paris season

there's also the live action series but i dont think you're referring to that either

They just released a new episode with Volume 22 of the manga. It complements the Paris season.

Yes yes, new OVa from the past month. I've already seen it and it's pretty cool, though it doesn't centers around Chiaki and Nodame.

I just discovered today that all 23 episodes of Nodame are now streamed at Crackle. They're even dubbed! Where are the DVDs, Sony?

This version continues the annoying feature of many R1 licenses, the absence of any subtitles for the OP/ED or for any Japanese texts on screen. Recall that episode one begins with a text screen that's translated in A-Keep's version as "Memories get embellished." That's an important insight into Chiaki's mind that viewers at Crackle are deprived of seeing unless they read Japanese.

And, as of today, I discovered they're now region-locked in the US as well!

I suppose I could be optimistic and say that Aniplex's new-found interest in releasing anime in R1 might mean we'll see Nodame BD/DVDs. Quarkboy has pretty much quashed any such illusions, though.

If peopel can't find any decent seeding for AnimeKeep's work on season 1, I can see it's part of this batch here:
