That was a good movie.

The beginning was mostly anime original save for Illya meeting Erika at the school. Thanks to it, we got to see Miyu using Berserker, which she never did in the manga.

The animation wasn't the best but the fights were still nice. Having watched the Fate/Grand Order anime since the chapters came out made me appreciate them more, like Illya being Gorgon and Assassin Miyu being the female assassin from the Camelot singularity.

Ending the movie on such a big cliffhanger was rather cruel. Especially when there's no telling when the next movie will come out.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. They gave a lot of good little moments to the various characters. It was really fun seeing Illya basically install Gorgon and Miyu doing the same with Serenity. It's a nice way to make good use of the cards and the different aspects that can be tapped into. Even liked Illya going full Artoria and getting her cape too .

That was a brutal cliffhanger. We're going to be waiting years for another movie like this. The source material moves slow and they still don't have enough to even think of another movie. So we're left with that moment for the next while...that's tough.
