Well proper is subjective. We don't know what entails a proper conclusion to the games.

Anyway here's some more.

Spoiler for Ep5 Summary:

The following scenes are of the dining room letter and Natsuhi's big scene with flashbacks.

- In the dining room everyone seems fearful. Eva tells Kanon to open the door. On the floor is a letter with Kinzo's seal.
- They check and it seems no one is in the corridor. They assume the knock and the letter is from Kinzo. They doubt he would do something that strange.
- They then assume it was Krauss and Natsuhi who knocked and placed the
letter as they don't think it is any of the ones in the guesthouse.
- They think it may be a ploy by Krauss to discredit Battler (?).
- Battler reiterates he doesn't care about headship. Rudolph tells him to give up as it is his fate, and he should read the letter.
- They confirm that it really the type of letter Kinzo uses. Kanon open it and a ring falls out.
- It is Kinzo's ring. They wonder if it a replica but Eva confirms it's the real thing.
- The letter is addressed from Beato. The contents congratulate Battler for solving the epitaph and finding the gold, and grant him the ownership of said gold. It declares Battler as the new head with the ring as proof. Something about keeping it from Krauss. She prays for his success (?).
- The adults take it as true confirmation but question this Beatrice. They insist that Battler wear the ring as the sign of his new status.
- Krauss and Genji return after leaving Natsuhi. Genji notices the ring on Battler and Krauss asks WTF is going on.
- It is now 3am and the storm continues. The council had concluded at 1am but apparently only now does Battler head for the guesthouse (?). Rosa managed to sneak out just before that.
- He says he's too sleepy to continue this. In the guesthouse lounge he finds Nanjo and Gohda talking. They're having a drink. They ask him if the conference is done. He says everyone's too tired to think (?).
- Erika was also relaxing on the sofa. Gohda and Nanjo compliment her intelligence. She bows in an odd way (?)
- Battler asks about Rosa. Gohda says she went to bed at 1am. Nanjo asks if he'll be awake enough for breakfast. Gohda replies preparations are done (?)
- Erika stands and everyone takes it as a signal to head to bed. Battler heads for [toko][bu]shop (ok...)
- Battler opens the guestroom to see everyone asleep. He is too sleepy to change or brush his teeth. Slowly falling to sleep he remembers some words of his father about his birth.
- Switch to Natsuhi in the morning (?). She hears the sound of waves as Beato appears. She talks about her pregnancy with Jessica. She talks about how she was unable to get pregnant before that and the disappointment felt when she could not produce an heir.
- She refers to how Hideyoshi and Eva business (I assume prgnancy) was going well compared to theirs.
- Some exchange between Beato and Natsuhi about storks, Kinzo's wanting an heir etc. (Sorry this part is really hard).
- Natsuhi thinks of when Kinzo looks down on her for not producing offspring.
- She then talks about Kinzo's orphanage "House of Gospel" where the family's furniture comes in training. She says excellent children from here are accepted as servants for the Ushiromiyas.
- They are given names ending in the common [oto] (In our case the -non, Shannon and Kanon examples)
- Beato says most servants only work for a few short years. Natsuhi says they earn enough by then to live on their own outside the family.
- Apparently, the work experience for them is considered to be a positive title in their personal history (?). Beato mentions the issue of adoption.
- Flashback to a conversation between Kinzo and Natsuhi. She apparently wants Kinzo's acceptance to adopt a child. I think Kumasawa is holding the kid.
- Kinzo DO NOT WANT it seems. He mentions she is defective? Beato comments how men would be pointless if women could conceive on their own.
- Natsuhi had apparently consulted many doctors as to why she can't conceive a child.
- The child was from the House of Gospel orphanage. Natsuhi seems to regret how this child would not have any of their blood in it's veins (?).
- She hated herself for being barren at the time. She prayed to angels and
demons for a miracle. Beato asks the method of how she prayed to both demons and angels.
- Gaap appears and said this wish is granted. She says she will give birth to Jessica. Knowing she had adopted some orphan, she now prays for it to disappear.
- This orphan was entrusted to an old employee to take it somewhere no one will ever find it.
- Ronove says something about this wish not being casual being granted.
- Waking through the woodland path behind the island, the old lady passes by a 10m high cliff. Gaap says Natsuhi's wish will be granted. The old lady and the baby fall from the cliff.
- To the present again, Natsuhi thinks it is her fault for wishing that the baby dies. Gaap, Ronove and Beato says it isn't her fault because it was them who carried it out (?).
- Beato mocks this revenge plan of the man from 19 years ago. Says he does not compare to her 1000 years.
- Beato does a retelling (?) of how the child was carried by the employee while it was crying to the woods. There apparently it stops when they notice gold butterflies. Beato lures her somewhere.
- She is apparently led to the summer residence (hidden mansion?) where there is tea being poured. She summons Gaap who drop them into one of her floor portals.
- The two fall from the sky and are swallowed by a sea of gold.
- Beato guarantees to Natsuhi that they are dead. Natsuhi says it can only be a miracle if they survive the fall and be brought to a hospital. Beato says she will take this revenge for herself (?).
- Natsuhi remembers how on that day it was only her and Kinzo on the island as family. Rosa was out to a friend's house.
- Not sure if this is a delusional moment but it seems Kinzo knows what happened on the cliff. Krauss also knew but both he and Natsuhi end up forgetting about this whole issue labeled as an unfortunate accident.
- Natsuhi was and seems to still be in denial.
- Beato says it cannot be since this child should be dead.
- Some undecipherable conversation between the magical entities and Natsuhi about this man. Sorry too hard to understand.
- They debate the nature of this man. If Erika if Bern's piece Beato postulates, then who's piece is this man with a supposed grudge?
- Scene of a phone call. Probably the flashback of the previous one in Beato's eyes?

This is the MW scene after Natsuhi's revelation.

- Lambda recaps a little about Natsuhi? Bern asks if she cganges some voice and somesuch. Sweet voice in papa at the pestering?
- She's singing some unintelligible song: Tsukaiwakete.
- Lambda comments on Erika as a suitable horse for Bern (?). She says something about keeping the pieces from believing completely in the anti-mystery POV. Erika appears on the MetaWorld and thanks her (WTF?).
- Erika says she is different from horses that are not cure fragments with low brains that are introverted (who knows who she's referring to? Battler?).
- Lambda makes I think a reference to the previous meta game event of Ange and Battler?
- Lambda makes a mocking comment to Beato and Natsuhi in the game.
- Ok this conversation between Bern and Lambda is ridiculously hard. I srumise it's about the relationship between Natsuhi and Beato, the changes in the events and how it eases their boredom? Fuck this is hard. Cue evil laughter from both witches.
- They turn to Beato who still does not speak. They mock I think her board and how she resigned to Battler? Lambda says the circumstances are left to her. They say things have changed and Erika say the inscription was solved even before the first twilight.
- I'm almost sure they comment on how Beato and her furniture are now just simple pieces of the board run by Lambda. They will become toys for her and Berne to play with.
- They say to an unreactice Beato that the witch of gold is now unnecessary. Cue more evil laughter.
- Battler from the sideline comments on this cruelty. He says no one is respecting the essence and protagonists of the game. He said it was about Beatrice and the legend of the gold.
- Now he says the opponent has been removed and not longer the guest.
- Battler calls it the fifth game, The End of the Golden Witch.
- The game is taken over by other evil witches.
- Lambda tells Battler that the second day finally starts. She says she's similar to Beato due to nice development.
- Battler tells her to whatever because he'll still find the truth of the games.
- Erika mocks him to fight for the younger sister (Ange I guess). She says Lambda is far more frightening than Beato. Some more mocking about the Witch's POV.
- Erika extends her hand out for a handshake but Battler slaps it away. Erika says she is a far different piece than Ange who's only role was to bring Battler's fighting spirit back.
- Lambda says he's lucky (?) that he has so many people backing him up.
- Battler doesn't care because the fight is only between him and Beato, no one else. He declares this to be his and Beato's game. They challenge him to retake control.
- Lambda says October 5, 1986, now begins.

It's time for October 5 once again of this entire mess. Gonna take a break to watch episode 8.

Edit - Ok umm due to the nature of a ballsack shattering revelation regarding the Red Truths, I'll be indicating with an * all Red Text that are different from the MetaWorld. Read the next short summary to find out...

Spoiler for Ep5 Summary:

This summary is for the initial discovery of the first murder scene as well as a testicle-obliterating revelation regarding Erika and the Red Text.

- Battler tries to sleep and is hearing I think the ticking of the alarm clock. He's expecting it to be awitched off? (He's obviously still tired)
- The alarm rings (?) and Battler is in no mood to get up. He does get up and looks around the room. He spots cards etc.
- He feels a headache as he notices it is still raining outside. He tries to remember what happened last night with all the arguing. He calls it all stupid.
- He still doesn't like all this succession talk as he heads to go take a bath. He opens the light...
- GEORGE, JESSICA, ROSA AND MARIA ARE DEAD.
- Eventually Eva and Hideyoshi arrive to their dead son. Nanjo urges them to stop because he says George would not want to see them like this.
- Rudolph tries to console her as she snaps. Hideyoshi tells her to endure for George's sake.
- Battler pleads to do a blood transfusion to George since they're the same blood type. It is quite obvious now he's dead. They cover his face.
- George's neck and mouth was slit open. Battler notes that there is so much blood everywhere so he covers him up more to hide it all.
- There is not enough blankets for all the dead. He sees that the rest are killed the same way.
- Battler is horrified at the possibility that he entered the room not knowing they were all dead because of fatigue.
- He can't take the shock. He notices the red magic circle. He wonders if these 4 people were sacrifices of some ritual.
- Erika knocks and comes in all cheery. She compliments the magic circle. She gives her condolences but Battler notices she doesn't seem to be even affected by this event.
- Rudolph tells her to please go to somewhere else, but she says it is a detective's right to inspect the crime scene. (Ok whatever...)
- Battler questions her. She says in her opinion the person who tries to stop inspection of the bodies tends to be guilty.
- Battler is angered by her comment and tells her to get out.
- Erika insists on checking it out while Battler wants to stop her. He says the police will do it and she should not humiliate their corpses.
- WTFWTFWTFWTF?!?!?!?!?!?! ERIKA DECLARES DETECTIVE AUTHORITY IN RED! SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO INSPECT THE CRIME SCENE AS A RIGHT FOR THE HUMAN SIDE OF THE GAME! *
- Again.... What in the flying fuckass?
- Everyone is stopped dead in their tracks. Battler is apparently launched to the wall by some power. Erika enters the room to check.

These scenes are when the discover the bodies in the guesthouse, the short metaworld in between and until the start of a MetaWorld(?) with piece Beato.

Ok I'm not sure where this happens but it's like a MetaMetaWorld for piece eato and her furniture. It's not included in this tag yet but it's not part of the official MetaWorld.

- Erika says her purpose is not to humiliate but to learn who killed them. She asks that Nanjo and Battler cooperate with her.
- MetaWorld smash. Bern says she is the detective.
- Nanjo describes the autopsy details to Erika. Bern wonders if Lambda can be amused. Since it is four it is supposedly lacking 2 more. However I think she says there is no obligation to follow the six sacrifice.
- She thinks there may just be 2 more dead somewhere. She says the magic circle is similar to Beato's games.
- Okay not sure if in the MetaWorld or in the island, but Asmo and Mammon arrive and question the magic circle. Satan says an imitation should not be possible and will report to Beato. Asmo comments it isn't beautiful since it isn't a closed room.
- They comment on how different the game seems now. They wonder what exactly will happen now that Battler has solved it. They leave afterwards.
- Gohda is making herb omelettes in the kitchen. He seems to be in a happy mood. Shannon is helping. She too feels happy and comments on cute tomatoes?
- Kumasawa comes in after preparing the dining room. Gohda asks her to prepare the food cart.
- They're all so freaking happy!!
- Kanon comes in late. Shannon says he overslept (?). Gohda asks him to call Genji.
- At the door to Genji's' room, Kanon and Kumasawa notice packing tape (?) and whatever marks on the door. The tape would rip if the door is opened. The tape has some fine writing.
- GENJI IS DEAD IN THE ROOM UNDER BLOOD RED BLANKETS.
- Side MetaWorld, the Stakes discuss this discovery. They wonder why people are still dying though Battler has solved it. They report to Beato.
- Kumasawa runs to the kitchen to call Gohda and Shannon.
- Side MetaWorld. Beelzebub and I forget discuss this turn of events.
- Natsuhi jumps awake at the sound of her ringing phone. She wasn't able to sleep properly. Lucifer greets her and says no one tried to enter her room. Mystery son is the caller on the phone.
- She says she followed his instructions. He mockingly says he called to wake her up and say good morning (?).
- This man mentions that something has already started and Natsuhi is the guest of honor. He says someone wants to hear her voice (or other way around? Not sure)
- Someone on the other end mumbles about solving something. She realizes it is Krauss voice! He says he has Krauss.
- He says people will be suspicious if Krauss isn't seen in the house. He says no one should intefere.
- At 1 o'clock (I assume 1pm) She is supposed to go to a guest room and to a secret closet (?). This part is vague but I assume she is to hide there? If she is found she loses?
- He says if she does as he says Krauss will be freed tomorrow.
- Someone knocks on the door. It is Gohda and Shannon asking her to come out. She thinks maybe something happened.
- She tells him it is just her servants and she broke no rule. The man says something I don't get.

MetaWorld
- Lambda says something about Natsuhi's promise and throws the phone receiver away.
- She mocks her fear of the person of 19 years ago and says her turn is going well. She tells Bern to act.
- Bern speaks of outside lines into the house but Lambda says it is not working. Ships are unavailable due to the storm. The police cannot intervene as this is a closed space so it is up to the detective (?) who's authority is guaranteed.
- She tells Bern to begin her turn.
- MetaWorld scene end


- Rudolph now in the mansion learns that Genji is dead, putting it at 5 people. Nanjo says the method of killing is the same: practical beheading with a sharp blade.
- Kanon says he never saw anyone suspicious at midnight.
- Hideyoshi says the phones don't work and there is no boat out.
- Kyrie says there is no guarantee the murderer is close. Kumasawa is in a panic that they are stuck on the island with this person. Gohda says they are safe if they are together.
- I assume they are in the drawing room. Eva is still aghast and says she will never forgive the murderer. Natsuhi is now here. I assume she knows Jessica is dead?
- Erika asks where Krauss is. Shannon says she's ringed his room but no response. Natsuhi is silent.
- Battler comments on his not being present. Kyrie thinks there may be another person on the island (?).
- Eva I think is blaming Erika as the killer?
- Erika says something about the 6 sacrficed and that 4 are in the guest house. Kyrie suggests it may be related to the first twilight. Battler thinks similarly.
- The servants seem to freak and wonder it is Beatrice.
- Eva is still wailing and demands an explanation.
- Erika makes a relation of it to the magic circle and the six necessary victims. The magic circle was only in the guest house. Perhaps she alludes that this isn't related to the epitaph pattern?
- Battler insinuates that Krauss is the only person who isn't here. Natsuhi's forehead wrinkles.
- Natsuhi asks (?) if someone checked Kinzo's study. She is angry no one managed to check and decides to go there herself.
- Erika calls this a third rate mystery, reaction etc. and laughs (?). No idea why she does this.

Although this Episode wasn't as monstrously long as EP4 I absolutely loved it. The pacing was great and IMO interesting things were happening constantly. Furthermore somehow I liked how ryukishi-san handled the first bits of answering compared to Higurashi's 5th arc. Not as direct and simple (I do like Meakashi, though...) but still provides a lot of new hints on how this whole game works. Thus I'm still totally hooked and can't wait for Episode 6.

I just wanted to get poor Natsuhi out of that horrible nightmare of threatening calls, reasoning battles and accusations... discolor was such a perfect BGM to underline her whole situation near the end...

I'm still wondering how the 19th person from 19 years ago and Erika will be explained in detail, though. Concerning the 19th person we have various theories while Erika is even more open for the players' thoughts. Well yeah, she is called Bern's alter ego that exists on both levels and her name might suggest that Bern forcefully uses Rika's body and sends her to Rokkenjima... but I want more explanation on that since the latter is just my own theory. But really, it has to be something like that, right? Otherwise it would be weird for her to exist on both levels, there must be a body on the game board apart from her figure on the meta-level. ???? might have indicated that the 19th person stays as one of the more important mysteries in the upcoming events so... it seems to be more than just Lambda's seiyuu skills...

As for Erika, she is just another piece, that is derived from Bern herself. But that's about it, the plot shows well they are really too different from each other, or from Rika so heh.

Exepted Rika existed before Bern , and Rika has purple Eyes. Bern came from Rika . After , Erika doesn't look that much like Rika. She acts like the First Battler we saw.

Done with EP5. Firstly theory: Eva and Genji are (temporary) accomplices. This should be consistent with EP1. Let me explain. In EP5,

Spoiler for EP5:

Eva killed Genji in the first night and Hideyoshi in the second day. Here is how she killed Hideyoshi in the "chained" room. Observe that she was the only one who "checked" that the chain was proper, i.e. by pulling it with force etc. This is just acting (directed at Natsuhi). She in fact taped the chain loosely on the (inside) wall from outside the room and made it looking like properly chained and then left. When she arrived with Goda second time, she ordered him to cut off the chain *quickly*. Goda did not have a chance to check the chain by pulling it. Indeed if he did, he would have discovered that the chain was fake. After he cut off the chain and rushed into the room, Eva only needed to recycle to tape.

In EP1, Eva killed Hideyoshi first, and then was killed by Genji. Here is how it was done in the "chained" room.

Firstly, Eva and Hideyoshi went into the room, chained up properly. Then Eva killed Hideyoshi and waited for Genji to come. Genji and Kanon arrived, sensing something might be wrong but could not see inside clearly from outside. Kanon checked the chain (i.e. by pulling it) at this point and apparently not working. He ran off to get the cutter. At this point, Genji, as an accomplice signed Eva to open the door. Eva did so and got killed. Genji taped the chain back and pretended he was always standing outside. Kanon arrived with the cutter but he did not bother to check the chain again. He just went ahead to cut off the chain. Kanon rushed into the room and Genji recycled the tape. Bravo.

By the way in EP1, in the last scene where Natsuhi was lured out and killed, it must be the work of Genji and that "Autumn" card as in EP5.

Genji was probably the one who killed the children, with an accomplice like Eva it's not difficult.

Therefore, there is no way Genji can remain in the room.

Also, in episode 5, Genji didn't move once she died. Therefore, Eva couldn't kill Genji at the time she taped his door (that is because Genji's corpse was no longer there, therefore, he could not be killed during the night of 4-5).

Are you commenting on EP1 here? He didn't have to "remain" in the room. He killed Eva, taped the door and could simply go off to fetch Natsuhi. This wouldn't take too long. He would have enough time to come back and "supervise" Kanon to cut off the chain and recycle the tape.

I don't really understand your point about EP5 though.
