Finally finished season 2.

Damn, I did not expect to love this anime so much when I saw the first clip I did on YouTube. This was a really great series. For a CGCT series, it had surprising depth.

Until the movie comes out, we have two more OVAs, one each accompanying the second and third BD volume releases. The first will be Mystery Camp, releasing May 26!

Shima Rin's scooter goes on display next weekend.

All you need to do is go to a Japanese sports car endurance race, which sounds like a pretty fun weekend all by itself.

News from the official Yuru Camp site indicates that the second of the OVAs will be titled "Travelling Shimarin" and releases July 28.

Yamaha still makes the 50 cc Vino. Didn't see one in Shimarin Blue though.

Now that both OVAs are out, I've had a chance to sit down and watch both. The first one is a series of vignettes with Aoi lying through her teeth about exciting camping experiences, one of which features Nadeshiko checking in to a work camp, and the second is a collection of tales about the places each of Ena, Nadeshiko, Chiaki and Aoi figure Rin might visit. Both are worthwhile, but not essential, additions to the series to give viewers a shot of Yuru Camp before the film comes out next year.
