Either way, I REALLY hope they still reveal the culprit no matter which ending you choose. I sort of don't mind it, I guess.
I hope this choice thingy doesn't give problems to Witch Hunt. It probably won't but knock on wood :O! By the way, who's in the new EP8 portrait?

It's a portrait in the same way EP4 had a portrait.

By the end of EP7 we were told we'd hear the true story of Rokkenjima.
If the true story changes according to our 'choices', then... I don't know if I'd be happy with that. Well, I hope there's no multiple end thing. It'd cheapen the whole thing. Just my opinion. ------- I think I found the blogpost: Maybe we'll just see the story through the eyes of many characters? (hence the choices?) Don't know...

The True Culprit

It's worth noting that since there's only one ultimate truth, the endings probably won't reflect changes in the truth, so much as what is done when the truth is learned (like, say, does Ange kill herself or find her brother, or publish what she learned?)
There's also the possibility that there's multiple endings about what the "truth" is, but there's only one True ending. Like a sliding scale between truth and fantasy.

Not confirmed by any means. Ep. 8 will just have "a choice/choices." We have NO IDEA what that is though. It could be one or many. (Ah, I am one but many!) That one choice could just affect the scene immediately after. Or it could be "Do you want to know the truth?" Or "Is Yasu the culprit?" Or "Is Lion a boy or a girl?" Or we could have something awesome where we as the players have to solve the mystery with choicing out Blue Truth. Or something Ryuukishi comes up with that none of us predicted.

I don't intended to say this is the last story (or last episode I assume he means)
Ep 6 is the ending of the story of battler and beatrice. Ep 7 is the end of mystery as the story. Ep 8 is..... ・書き終わったら別物になっているかもしれませんw But when I'm finished writing it might be something completely different lol こんなに語っちゃって大丈夫なの? Is it okay to tell it like this? Is the thing I'm being made to worry about. 彼の場合は、本当にこんな 話になるの?www という別 の意味合いで したw A long time ago, BT used to say it well. In his case, will it really become this story? lololol with a different implication though lol Ep 8 has choices. You act as one of the characters and select the alternatives. There are bad endings. There are fairly repulsive (disgusting) choices. When you first spot a killing, you won't know with just once glance (not sure what he is meaning here) |

It could be like Heavy Rain, multiple choices multiple endings but it doesnt change the truth of who the culprit is and why they did it.
Now changing the current topic, I have some theories on Yasu and Beato Spoiler for Beato Yasu:

Hmm... I don't think you can say Beatrice's personality was based on Jessica's. From what we saw on EP7, Yasu had already given Beatrice a somewhat "rough" personality, even before she met Battler. Even if we were to discard EP7's information, I wouldn't say Beato's and Jessica's personalities are similar. They share some traits, but I'd say that's all there is to it.
As for the disability, Yasu made it clear it was serious injury, and that it was the result of the fall. So, I don't think being an inbred has got anything to do here.

I don't think Beatrice and Jessica are anything alike in terms of personality. Beatrice is much more forward, and while Jessica is "rough," she's usually nice. Beatrice can be downright mean, albeit in a playful way (witness her half-insults when talking to Maria, which go right over Maria's head). And it's pretty clear Battler likes a woman he can butt heads with (probably not literally, but possibly). Not to say Jessica can't be combative, but it feels very different. I think he just admires Jessica's personality because she's a contrast to all the other women in the family. Even Eva knows how to be subtle.

Beatrice and Jessica aren't really anything alike, not even personality-wise. Jessica is ordinary, while Beato is extraordinary. Beato's tricks have bite to them, whereas Jessica doesn't seem to be capable of that level of subterfuge.
Reading the patch has made me remember how much I loved Yasu in my initial playthrough. She has so much spark and personality, in addition to being utterly charming with her mannerisms and way of looking at the world. It's no wonder that Maria was so entranced by her version of "magic". Here we have an unhappy little girl who, in order to achieve happiness in the best way she knows how, actually anthropomorphizes her struggles and befriends them in the form of Gaap. I also adore the prank she plays on Jessica. Jessica is right in that the amount of time and effort put into that trick is scarier than any prank itself, and it speaks of a profound inner darkness to Yasu--it's easy to believe this girl would conceive of elaborate fake murders and keep the party going even after people started getting scared--but I couldn't help but be sort of happy at the same time. It really shows the lengths she would go to for someone she considers a friend, and her creativity in pulling it off.
