Dengeki has posted some stills from episode 1. The episode preview is the generic text about Academy City and Mikoto, so there's no real need to translate it.

I am sure you can post the summary and episodes you posted in manga thread. (I am sure it does not belong in manga section)
I mean the NO SPOILER part of this thread is about not revealing stuff from manga or LNs.
All that was directly released FOR THE RAILGUN S VIEWERS can (and should) be posted here.

PS: There is also summary from Railgun Navigation Book

The long-awaited second season of Railgun finally begins in April! The intense story of the incident surrounding Mikoto's clones, the Sisters, awaits, but this is still the Railgun you know and love. It has been put together so you can enjoy plenty of scenes of the 4 girls' everyday lives. And the anime original character Haruue will also be seen, so will we be able see the aftermath of the Poltergeist arc? Fill your hearts with anticipation as you wait for it to begin airing!

It airs at 11:30pm in Japan on AT-X, which is a bit over 18 hours from now.

The first episode on Tokyo MX is scheduled for 12th 24:30. 24:30 is kind of 13th actually, but not when we are talking about TV schedule

The premiere is just after midnight?

You would think they were broadcasting R rated anime

The majority of anime people around here talk about (popular long-running shounen series notwithstanding) air in the late-night hours because it's a niche product that doesn't interest mainstream viewers or advertisers. It's like an informercial advertising its own merchandise. (You can see the time other shows air by going here.)

Speaking of broadcasting, Funi's picked this one up for its simulcasting slate.

First time I can remember such a thing happening for one of the Toaru series.

Simulcasting became relevant in Spring 2009, so Index S1 wasn't possible. In Autumn 2009, Crunchy wasn't as big a player as they are now, so Railgun wasn't an option. Funimation licensed S1s of both series in June 2010, so Crunchy couldn't get S2 of Index (why license the sequel to someone else?) and they still haven't gotten rights to that (according to them), so this is the first one that's viable to be simulcast.

Suddenly it feels like my view of the world was completely false.

Next you're going to tell me that Santa Claus doesn't exist.

EDIT: I don't think I'll complain about low budget anime ever again. I've gotten a new found respect for those that can make high quality animation.

As Chaos mentioned earlier, I did run across the titles and a couple summaries for the first four episodes of S. To be utterly safe, I've put 2-4 under a spoiler tag:

Episode 1: Railgun (kanji are the same)
The summary for this episode details Academy City and Mikoto Mikasa. No plot points for the episode are given. (It's less detailed, but about the same as the Dengeki link I posted earlier).

Spoiler for titles/summaries:

Thus far, it appears S will break the naming system used in the first season for one similar to Index.

Will Railgun's simulcast on Funi be behind the paywall?

Should be free to watch in 480p or lower quality on their site. Funi also uploads simulcasts to their YouTube page and on Hulu from time to time, so you could check those sites as well.

Every time they've had a simulcast, I've never had to pay to watch it. Some of the archived stuff requires a subscription, but none of the current stuff.

Judging from the episode name...the sister arc should finish in around 10 or so episode?

Nope. We'll be getting into it from Episode 2.

I would suppose, for a major arc, they will try to have it end at episode 12 if they can, and that would also fit the pattern of the first season. But I'm not sure what that implies as far as manga alignment goes; you'd have to go the spoilers & speculation thread to discuss that.
