hmm doubted, naruto movies have always been filler, plus they wouldnt put that huge plot twist/part in the trailer, just like they (probly) wouldnt put a dead dumbledoor in the trailer for harry potter and the order of the phoenix

-Oh he probably does during the middle of the movie. Then during the climax he revives. Just like our Lord Jesus did except this "Jesus" will be quite vengeful and pissed-off when he returns. Wonder what the actual premise of this movie is?

Looks like a cool movie. But Woah I can't believe Naruto dies in it hmmm….. but probably
he'll either be revived or maybe never dead in the first place.

Hm, that scene with Naruto facing off against those opponents looked sort of surreal. Maybe at some point in the film he's put under a powerful genjutsu and has a vision of his own death and funeral, then they used it as a hook for the movie.

-You know that is quite plausible. After all, Genjutsu are one of Naruto's greatest weaknesses. Although a Genjutsu user of that high a caliber isn't difficult to imagine I have an odd feeling that this was somehow related to Itachi (the shadowed figures looked like hey were sporting Akatsuki clothing)...

here's something in wikipedia about the movie...It don't think means the anime is ending...I think he dies in the beginning, but probably comes back to life in the end...

Naruto the Movie 4 is the fourth film based on the Naruto manga and anime series by Masashi Kishimoto. It was announced on November 22, 2006, in that week's issue of Shonen Jump.

The movie will take place during Naruto: Shippūden. According to teasers in issue 20 of Weekly Shonen Jump, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Neji Hyuga, and Rock Lee will be the main characters. The only detail about the plot given is the vague headline that "Naruto dies".

A trailer for the movie confirms this to be a literal detail. In the trailer, Naruto is attacked and presumably killed by ten figures, all of whom glow dark purple and can fire similarly-colored energy blasts. His headband is cut off during the attack. Several Konoha-nin, the movie's main characters among them, are then seen over a gravestone, Naruto's torn headband hanging from one edge.

The trailer shows Gaara, Ino, Tenen and all the others.. team 8 ect... but I'd think that they will only show up for a couple of moments in the film, I'm alot more interested then I have ever been for a Naruto film, so I hope that the plot pulls through this time >.<

Hmm hard to tell if he realy dies. the saying of his battle migth simply mean this will be the last movie made. But their are 2 discrepentises on Naruto's bandana when it is riped off and the on on the tomb stone.

1) The bandana that fall from naruto is completely riped on oen side. On teh stoen it isnt it is still whole
2) The steel plate on teh bandana falling off is intack. The one on the tomb stone si all cracked up.

That to me leads me to belive 2 things if you got with the assumtion that when Sakura screams Naruto she is at the tomb stone. Either it is a genjutsu or a a premonition ofve the future or it is someone else that Naruto killed and Sakura is upset about. Or maybe he failed to protect. But the premonition fits beter since it would be kinda dumb to give up the bigest plot turn ofve the movie. But by making such a claim they will attract a larger audiance. I for one sure as hell wanan see this movie 5 times more then the 2nd movie. Still havent seent he 3rd no one fansubed it. Arg.

I was thinking it may have something with removing the Bijuu...I agree though it seems that it might be a genjutsu...maybe he's imagining all this. I don't think this would signify the end of the anime though...It may be the last movie though since they don't want to wind up causing plot holes maybe...It just doesn't seem that Naruto itself would be ending this soon

If you read the manga....you'll KNOW who is gonna die. I'd say most of you guys take conclusions too quickly. Since this aint a manga thread i cant say more then this but: "What exactly are we reading and watching?" could it be --> Sakura?

Naruto dies nooooo.

You can tell its true especially since the key point of the movie is Naruto's death so I don't believe this is genjutsu. But hey maybe Naruto truly becomes one with the wind and watches over Sasuke and everyone else.

Otherwise I'm saying that maybe Kyuubi dies in place of Naruto due to his last will.
