I am not a Yuuki fan, sorry to say. Her character has greatly disappointed me. She is the weakest heroine Matsuri Hino has created compared to her other series. All the work is being done by Kaname and Zero and she is simply a protected lamb. Even her mother, Juuri, was able to do something and not simply huddle in a corner. And if you argue it's because Kaname makes her go into hiding, I won't buy it. We have seen that if Yuuki insists on something, Kaname will permit it - that is the kind of love he has for her. She's a weak heroine and nothing more - at least right now. Now she is acting the way Zero was acting about accepting who she has become. Frankly, I can't see Yuuki being with any of the main male antagonists (Zero or Kaname). Her character can't be considered on par with them at this level. T_T Let us hope that she will also mature, like Zero has, to a level worthy of standing beside either one of the men.

Gotta agree with you there.
I feel she's a bit overshadowed when it comes to Kaname and Zero. Sure she was strong and determined to defeat Rido ( which I loved and wish to see more from her ) but whenever she's with the other two, she's just weak.

She did have her moments where she made extreme decisions when she was a human but to me, Yuuki is just crumbling more and more. I know she can't forget everything of being a human and accepting her darker vampire nature takes some time but Yuuki, you can't be emo forever. I hope she doesn't suffer from the Zero-syndrome for too long because it'll just be another wash, rinse and repeat that we already saw with Zero.

And Kaname needs to stop babying her like a damn child. It's been 10 (now 11? ) years already. Their relationship hasn't gotten anywhere since day 1

I as well think that the letter yuuki writes is addressed to Zero... first you see a tattered piece of paper (obviously the same one as yuuki's letter and I'm sure Yori-chan wouldn't throw away her letter though..).. with the question "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT NOW".. ... and then on the very last page you again see zero with the question "what are you thinking"...
i really need to know the content of this letter!!!! she must have written smth that makes him angry.. or he didn't even read it? but you can see that he is thoughtfull when he arrives in his room and lies on the bed...
oh he definetely deserves happiness... my feeling tells me that we will have a point of change with the next chapters.. zero gaining power as a hunter would change the story a lot. then he would be able to compete with kaname in every way!
two powerful men and a confused girl.. i hope everything will be fine in the end!

what I didn't understand in chapter 50... when Zero meets the chairman he first says something like: "your aura is annoying because sometime it mixes up slightly with that of a vampire"
do you guys think that the chairman still hides anything? there was a chapter abput him and juuri..but we still don't really know their backround... maybe he's so powerful because she gave him her pure vampire blood?

chapter 51 made me all confused.. i don't know anymore how alle the characters feel.. I mean what's with this attitude of yuuki's? she tells kaname she desires zero's blood as well and afterwards that she wants to be with him forever!?! and kanamejust accepts the fact she's in love with zero as well... T.T and zero looks kinda scary when he is asked by Yori-chan if he really would kill Yuuki... i don't know if he still lovess her or if he thinks that old yuuki is dead and the vampire one must be killed...
btw wondering where ruka and akatsuki are Oo and if ichijou is doing fine sine he was tortured that much by that pureblood girl...
this chapter didn't really bring us anywhere, did it? after reading i just have more unanswered questions than before reading!!!

Yuuki's getting more pathetic by the hour.... Then again this is what they do to 90% of all shoujo manga.

So...it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be when I first glimpsed at the summary Sagakure wrote a while ago.

I just wished we could move on from watching what is going on within the characters and have something actually happen. When you look at it, nothing has happened at all which is starting to bother me. We get the point already how devasted the characters are, especially Yuuki and it's getting pretty darn redundant.

No, I didn't hate the chapter, I thought it was really good and interesting to dive into the deep dark pools of Yuuki's mind and conscience. But it was kinda silly to see Yuuki twitching and rolling all over the place on the floor lol xDDD ( or maybe it was just me...) Yuuki clearly has issues when she's by herself lol. But that leads to the fact that....she's weak and always has to be dependant on someone which gives me the wrong impression that I don't want to have for her.

I still have hope that Yuuki will become strong soon...or not.

Well, everyone already knows my stance about Yuuki - and this chapter isn't helping.

Since scans are still relatively new, I'll put my comments in spoilers for those who haven't read c51 yet.

Spoiler for c51:

Okay, Yuuki's indecisiveness is really bugging me - plus, the girl is simply a damsel in distress, locked in an ivory tower and doing nothing. T_T Anyway, it's clear at the beginning of the chapter that the little Yuuki she tried to stamp out was her vampire self. Since her vampire self has just emerged, she is represented as still being a little girl. But with her grabbing little vampire!Yuuki's hand, it appears that Yuuki is beginning to accept her vampire self. (...and where have we seen this before? ). It is clear that Yuuki is still attached to Zero but it is also equally clear by her last declaration that Kaname is the one she truly loves. However, it is her vampire side that loves Kaname. Until she accepts who she really is, she will still hold Kaname at a distance. But Yuuki does know how much Kaname has done for her...(so she better start growing up. )

Right now I'm wondering what Kaname is up to - and what is behind that door. Is Kaname's true self or power still sealed behind that door we saw Aidou and Yuuki stand in front of?

Personally, I'm getting a bit bored with the recent chapters. None of the characters are doing anything and being all indecisive. Feels like Hino Matsuri is trying to drag this story out at the expense of the plot. T_T
