Is it just me or did they put a lot of budget into the visuals like the skateboard scenes and action? It was kinda neat to see most of the characters again. Also, I hope we learn a bit more about the Green Clan and its core members.

The music felt similar to season 1 in terms of content especially the OST.

I felt it was a bit to showing off. I thought there wasn't much meat to the visual treat we were getting.

They've been doing that since the movie. There are a lot of scenes where they drag things out like when Misaki got his staffand swung it around or at the end when Fushimi caught the green girl and spent a little too long juggling his knives.

Wow the bounce level on this episode was over 9000!!!!, lol that fight of septar x homra was really something, i would love to be on the place of Izumo that fight!!! with seri.

Even neko bouncess was increased!!! omg is really awesome have a good serie back, even with all the "bl" teasers still a really good serie and i'm looking foward it!!!.

Episode 1 Impressions

• Visually the episode was impressive, although some of the angle shots were a bit dizzy
• Wish they would tone down sexualizing Seri, I'm all for hot characters but this is ridiculous
• First season I thought the first episode was too slow paced, this season I think it's too fast.
• I think anyone who didn't watch the first season would probably be lost, a lot of info dumping.

Well you can say which looks like gora hands have the power of "unlimited budget", since also the season 1 was really high expensive and that first episode was on par with the one punch man or maybe even could cost much more, that angle cameras and top cgi scenes, really make then give a impressive ammount of budget, well it's a original work, then they need to be impressive since is not a adaptation.

Ep 01

Must admit ... if I had not seen season 1 and the movie I would be totally and completely lost - particularly as to what in the world the Green clan is doing, how they are doing it and hints as to why.

Even so, the episode itself screamed budget all over the place. Man. The battle in the first 9 minutes was quite impressive.

I also really enjoyed meeting all the old faces (hurray for Kuroh and Neko! ^^ ) and seeing the new ones. Quite enjoyable on the whole, and the best debut ep of today for me.

What a way to start the new season, with that huge flashback battle and the kickass Showdown music track from Missing Kings. Already liking the upcoming dynamic of Red/Blue vs Green and there is also the third faction with Neko, Kuroh and Isana. Can't wait to see more.

true, and they probaly wasted alot of their budget on those scenes too, they made sure to get every angle of that half naked girl lol.
And ffs stop showing that red king all the time, if the director or what not loves him so much they shouldnt of killed him off, what a waste of the first half of the episode

This was a really cool premiere and got me right back into the action again! You can tell where their budget went with those fight scenes.

I had at first thought the first 8 minutes were wasted on that fight that really has no meaning to the season, and yet, I think it was necessary and a creative way to get everyone introduced to all the characters again after all this time, without having to reintroduce them.

I never cared for the fanservice in this series, Seri's especially. And they really overdid it this episode. She might as well be naked for all the mystery she has left. I thought Fushimi and Yata had grown up after the end of last season and the movie, where they seemed a little more mature. But then the two pretty much devolved again. Oh, and Rikio better see somebody about that sudden weight gain/loss he's been having between appearances. To go from fat and husky in the first season, to thin and bishie in the movie, and then back to fat and husky in the second season, can't be good for him.

Anna is so cute and beautiful as the Red Queen (I believe in keeping with the gender of a word, even if the series does not) and her Sword of Damocles looks amazing. Reisi's on the other hand, that guy must really be hurting inside for it to have fallen apart so easily in such a short span of time.

Well, it looks like this episode was mostly meant just to get you reacquainted with all of our characters, who the new villains are, and a hint as to where the show will be going from here on out.
A great start, I can't wait until the next one!

Also, a warning to the wise: This series is not going to babysit you or hold your hand. It immediately starts off expecting you to have seen the first series AND the movie, and does not backtrack. So anyone who wants to start this, make sure you have seen BOTH.

^^Rikio's body must a scientific wonder considering it's ability to shift from fat to thin to fat again between seasons and the movie. I am sorta worried about him.

I keep forgetting how I hated the character designs of the males here. They're all pretty much bishounen. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought this is a yaoi series or something....or at least a shoujo. Good thing the girls' designs are also very good.

Anyway, there's an awful lot of focus on the Blue and Red clans this episode. Green clan seems pretty twisted as seen in this episode and the movie. I hope there will be more focus on the Silver clan next time. Oh, and with Shiro jumping from his ship there, I hope he does a dive entry with or without a crater as an aftermath .

you know that scene was from before the end of last season, the red king is dead, so him being alive here isnt right

That much skin & boobs is not needed in this anime.
Except if they deseperately want to attract a different kind of audience..
Those JUNGLE guys will get the fight they wanted.
Still, it's all over the place.
Think I'm gonna skip this season.

But, one thing for sure, I'll continue to watch for Seri alone.
