Nothing much to see of course, but I still got way more excited than I should - especially when there are other people around.
OP is amazingly cute/awesome and megane chizuru makes me want her scolding me. S1 op was still better, but it's one of my favorite ops all time, so no surprise there |

OP is pretty good. I'm more impressed by the animation, though--it's not amazing but this time around they look less... cheap. I assume budget isn't a big deal in a show with such little action/movement so I hope it stays consistent. This is a tangent, but my least favourite part of cheap VN adaptations is when animation kills good chara designs *coughChaos;Headcough*

I dunno what you guys saw, but Deen's version could hardly be considered cheap when compared to the S2 stuff shown so far. Seriously, all that preview was were just face close-ups after face close-ups. If that's any reflection of what we're getting in S2, I can't say I'm stoked.
For comparison's sake this is what the original Deen previews for SnI were like: Spoiler for spoilered for space:
I know Deen gets a lot of flak for making subpar looking shows, but it's evident they actually cared about SnI and what went out the door. The end results of which are not bad by any means imo. They still better take the piss outta everything in S2 at the very least

I sure hope it won't come to that. The first season could manage relatively consistent drawings/animations throughout and I don't see why this can't either. The industry's reliance on it is getting excessive. It seems to me to be part of the reason why companies like Shaft can always get away with incomplete shows all the time.

Oh, yeah, S1 is definitely better comparing preview to preview since S2's is pretty dull. I meant it more as a general comment, though you seem to be right anyway; S1 looks worse in my head than on screen. Memory must've been tainted by screencaps of whatever the last major DEEN TV series was.

That aside, I still don't really see the 'improvement' over the new studio's design over DEEN's, and think people just hate the old design because they hate DEEN. Maybe once the show starts airing I can make a definitive decision about it.

I'm looking forward to this, but somewhat worried: new director and new writer. Yoshida Reiko is a big name, but she may not be the comic writer Hanada Jukki is. And Satou Takuya directed Ichigo Mashimaro, my all-time favorite comedy, whereas new director Imaizumi Kenichi did Hitman Reborn, which I couldn't watch more than a few episodes of.

It's pretty much a whole new production team this around so I'm sure many of us are sharing that exact same feeling of weary caution too. And it's a little bit of a shame, since the crew that worked on the 1st season really did hit the nail on the head =/

I really don't want another series ruined by stamp-sized streaming with horrible quality!

Nico streaming is probably more than passable, we just don't have access to it because we don't live in Japan. Again, the idea of debuting a series online is not bad in itself. And if Crunchyroll picks it up, it'll be in what you consider normal quality anyway.
