It was already late in the afternoon when Lyon opened his eyes. He felt so weak that even lifting his eyelids all the way seemed too much a task. He moved his arms and they seemed responsive enough. Slowly, Lyon tried to push himself up, completely wary of the dull throbbing pain in his back and abdomen. Though it seemed he wasn't as wary as he was supposed to. The nerves in his body lit on fire and it was all he could do to bite back a scream before flopping back onto the bed.

He thrashed in agony but each motion caused a new wave of pain to refresh the one that passed. The whole ordeal was so absorbing that he didn't notice the presence of another or the fact that said person screamed along with him.

“Lyon! Lyon! Get a grip!”

The bed-ridden boy continued as if he didn't hear anything, flailing about like he could beat the pain away.

“Lyon!”, that person screamed again. This time they took hold of his wrists with surprisingly strong grip considering how thinly they lined up against each other.

There was a bit of a struggle with Lyon as he tried to free himself and find release from the pain. There was none and his mind was finally accepting the fact that he had to stop being an idiot if he wanted the burning in his bones to stop.

Calming down was by no means easy. Almost ten minutes had elapsed before Lyon's thrashing had devolved into twitching, then to small constrained movements, then finally to shivering.

“Lyon, Lyon. You all there? You with me? Do you recognize my pretty face?”, the person struck a small pose.

A small face with dainty glasses and features that seemed a bit too hardy to be delicate. The freckles that stood out along with scrunched up ear length hair.

“Junko.”, Lyon breathed. A mix of emotions stirred in him, a bit of it is relief, majority of it is terror. “Why are you here?”.

Junko rolled here eyes at the question. “Man, they must've gotten you pretty bad if you can't even tell why I'm here.”. She reached for the bedside table for something as she continued, “I mean you even went all dramatic and said my name before you fainted.”. The schoolgirl giggled a bit before handing a glass and a small pill to a confused Lyon.

Lyon's eyed the objects in her hands with much suspicion before slowly reaching out to accept. But she shoved them into his hands, causing him to fumble with the objects. He clutched the half-spilled glass in his hands while the plastic capsule that looked ready to burst was gripped tightly between white knuckles.

“Wait”, Lyon straightened up, as he processed her words. He searched his memories a bit, recounting his last waking moments. “Were you the one who called the teachers?”.

The hundred-watt smile that followed was almost blinding. “Yup.”, Junko quipped cheerfully. “Called them as soon as I saw Haguruma kiss your hand.”.

Lyon gave her an odd look as the schoolgirl looked like she was in paradise saying the last part. “Did you really?”, Lyon questioned with a dubious brow.

“Well... hehehe...”, Junko seemed a bit sheepish. “Maybe after I woke up from the nosebleed?”

This statement was followed by silence courtesy of the abject horror ascribed on Lyon's face. “Wha- Why would you have a nosebleed!?”, Lyon half-screamed in horror at the implications of Junko's words.

Junko gave the blonde young man a confused look and shrugged. “Well for a bastard, Haguruma is still actually quite good looking with the 'bad boy image'.”.

Lyon just exhaled in exasperation at her antics before taking the pill and downing the water with it, her fangirl tendencies were one of the reasons he was so terrified of her. He handed the glass back to Junko before laying down on the bed again. “Even though I'm the one in the infirmary right now, You're the sickest one here you know that?”.

“Hm hm so says the cross-dressing net idol.”, Junko happily shot back.

Lyon shot her a deadly glare of indignation. “You forced me into it!”. Yes, a second reason he feared her.

“But you still agreed~♥”, Junko sang. She pulled something from her seat and spread it out to show Lyon. “Look! Look! It's the next dress I want you to wear for the next photo-shoot.”.

The elfin young man on the bed did take a look and, if you were to believe it, did a spit-take with nothing but his spit. “What in heaven's name is that! Did you make it?”.

“Yup.”, the giddy girl nodded. “Isn't it beautiful? Took me a few months worth of work and allowance but it's finished!”. She held it out further to the injured blonde with a sparkle in her eyes. “Don't you wish you could wear it right now?”.

This was probably the third reason he was terrified of Junko, her skill with making such feminine wear for men. A cream fit for a princess. The dress skirt was the first thing that caught Lyon's eye because it went all the way to the ankles. The top was quite unremarkable save for the chest area which seemed to be topped with layers upon layers of frills and lace, probably to hide the lack of bosom. However it was from those frills up that the design got a bit risque. The shoulders were bear and the frills by the chest tapered into a connecting ribbon that was used to string around the neck and hold the dress together. It was certainly worse when Junko showed the back of the dress and exposed the absence of said back. A backless frilled dress for a man... dear god...

“No thank you.”, Lyon declined vehemently. “As you can see I'm still injured and I think I'll be too bruised up to look good in that.”.

Junko waved away his concerns and told him, “Don't worry about it, you won't be wearing this dress for another month.”

“Eh?”

“What do you mean 'eh?'”, Junko humphed and began to lecture, “I still have to pick out the accessories and the hairstyle to go with the dress. We can't just go take pictures willy-nilly right after I finish sewing it. By that time I'm sure your bruises will be healed.”.

“You're completely missing the point of my concerns.”

Thoughtfully tapping her chin, Junko nodded, “You're right. I understand.”.

Lyon perked up in surprise. “Really?”, the blonde boy asked hopefully.

“Yes, really.”, Junko turned her serious gaze onto Lyon and grabbed him by the shoulder. “Don't worry. If the bruises still show then we'll cover them with extra make-up.”, she stuck her tongue out and winked goofily with a pose.

“But that-!”, Lyon faltered in his words as a sudden lethargy overtook him. “Mmm... what is this?”. The injured boy tried to rub the sleep from his eyes but the lids just kept getting heavier and heavier. “Junko... what's... going on...?”.

The girl in question shrugged as she pulled over a small piece of foil. “Well it must be these painkillers.”, Junko scratched her head. “I'm no nurse but it says right here that the medicine is for colds and all the symptoms that go with it, including body pains, fever and possible trouble sleeping...”.

“You gave me cold medicine with sleep pills in it!?”

Junko raised her arms in defense of her innocence against the outburst. “Hey, don't shoot the messenger. Just doing my job.”. The look she received could only be described as disbelieving. “Honest! The nurse told me to give it to you if you started acting like you were in pain, and going ballistic like that definitely told me you were in pain.”.

Lyon palmed his face. Junko was beginning to panic...which meant...

“I mean I know I should've asked first but it seemed the appropriate time at the time and it would've been awkward to say something like 'Hey want some meds?' or something like that so-”

Yes, Junko blabbered a lot when she panicked.

Mounting Silver Gospel's wing into ByakuShiki

I can justify it considering Kirishima Heavy Industry that made ByakuShiki has a business ties with the American/Canadian company General Dynames, but the concept alone is almost gamebreaking.

Maybe I can justify it being 'Mass production equalizer' variant, therefore, simpler and weaker. It's main function is as space mobility unit/ verniers. It's still retain the plasma bolt guns though with reduced performance.

Here is my take on Inami, also my alternate interpretation of him.... (give a little thought to it and may be, if luckily enough, it might inspire some ideas on giving him additional flaws)

Spoiler for Inami:

Inami has Chronic hero Syndrome. When somebody is in trouble, he will always the first to be there but because of this, he tend to be a little impulsive and impatient and tend to run off in the middle of a briefing (For him the entire briefing only consist of who,what,where is the enemy...)

Due to being used to fighting alone, he performed better when fighting alone than in a group. He is always attempted to take the lead to commands others (which annoy some characters who felt intimated/underestimated by him) until he get suppressed by the leader.

Inami is also better at fighting and basic fighting tactic than actual situational tactic (using counter-tactic) and bad with strategic planning (figuring out enemies' true objective and out-gambit them).

Due to his past (being betrayed by his superior), he tend to be a little rebellious against authoritative figure or at least seen as such (due to being suspicious about the said figure).

Spoiler for Planned Inami's Rival in the story:

Lupus (assumed to be his codename)
Also known as the Hell-hound of Kerberos (a black-op division of Praxidike), Kerberos' role in Praxidike is simple: guarding the Drone factory and exterminate all "curious passer-by" who found out the location by accident by "erasing them" to ensure the facility remains top-secret)

Due to always wearing the Ares Power armor, nobody in Praxidike has seen Lupus' real face.

However......

Personality wise: He is childish, calculating, blood-thirsty and brutal. Almost every members of Praxidike avoid him and considered him to be bat-shit insane.

Having a childish personality, he always refer his weapon as "toy" and fighting/attempted killing as "playing" with the victim.

Lupus will never forget an old grudge and tend paid back the debt at twice the interest rate.

Fortunately/Unfortunately enough, In spite of being a blood-thirsty and childish monster, he is a strategist.

Losing a fight does not means losing the battle and he only fight when he has a chance of winning the battle (note: not fight) and before every fight, he planned every moves which his opponent will take.

Fitting for his codename, Lupus is a lone-wolf and he often fight alone and will always target one-opponent at a time rather than trying to take them all at once.

He has a strange obsession with winning against Inami and Minvera, he is always talking about how much he will enjoy desecrating his corpse after turning Minerva into a scrap metal trophy.

The reason for his obsession with Inami is due to him being favored more by Gerald..... Lupus is jealous of him.

All the talk about desecrating Inami corpse has a hint of Foe-yay

'He' is actually a girl same age as Inami.

Her chest size is washing board (one of the reason why nobody suspect that she is a girl), and she is proud of it because it means she is more man than woman (therefore better than a woman.....*cough*Gerald's brainwashing).

Lupus is the Pilot of power armor Ares which resemble Minerva, but with spiky design and has obviously evil helmet (if Evil Red eyes is not obviously evil enough, I don't really know what is).

Reason for this is simple: Ares is copied from Minerva's design based on the combat data received from Minerva's previous battles with the IS drones. The reason for the "evil" design is to intimate its foe and win the psychological battle even before the actual battle starts.

Technology-wise, due to protecting the vital branch of Paradixe, he often given shiny new experimental "toy" to play with and always has (slightly) better version of all the weapons which Minerva has (though the weapons he uses could be unreliable at times due to their experimental nature).

Ares is capable of stealth and is capable of turning invisible. It is virtually impossible to detect it using conventional detection technology (you need unconventional one such as Minerva and IS).

Lupus' favorite "toy"/signature weapon are.... bits drones called Fangs (similar to Cecilia's Blue Tears drones) which is also capable of stealth and function as a trap that instantly trigger when certain condition is fulfilled, (such as firing at a target all at once when one of them is destroyed)....

The Fangs are the only advanced weapon which Ares possess, that will never breakdown or fail at important situation....

As a gag, Lupus has eight of them (8 bits ) but uses only 4 of them most of the time.

White hair girl.
A mysterious girl whom Ichika met and has a serious crush on probably due to sharing similar interest with Ichika (mainly food related). Unfortunately, Ichika never get her name....Referred to Ichika as Wasabi (due to it(True Wasabi!) being a gift from her to thank him for helping her few years ago....)

@eras: Most of the time... Junko isn't quite... all there... but like all anime/anime-based characters, they have some sort of deep psychological reason for it. Junko's reason is being outcast from general student body who tend to bully her because she wasn't only low on IS synchronization. IS outright rejected Junko.

@zero: Not quite so gamebreaking when you consider how fast they eat through energy reserves. If I remember correctly, your version of Byakushiki only has a slightly increased energy pool. Most of it is invested into speed.

Yes, hence why the the Silver Bell merely replaces the Mirai Gatling gun, it's much less powerful than what gospel show due to low energy put onto them. All in all, a good weapon to distract enemy anyway

The wing made him wickedly mobile though, especially in higher altitude. The downside is that his I.S. is now 1.5 times heavier than average due to the sheer size of propulsion system (both original and additional system), and thus more unstable than before

@eras: The point of Junko's problem is the vast amount of elitism that goes on in normal society of ISverse. Beyond the reverse sexism and the seemingly peaceful days behind the walls of ISA, normal society is like a different world where people are trying to live everyday lives as always but with those other people who want a piece of the glory that goes with being related to IS. They were just born into a town that was deeply obssessed with IS. You, know... like how Yugioh has a town obssessed with a child's cardgame where you can actually get murdered over a rare.

@zero: you're either going to need some proper mods on equipment or calibration, or keep that as special mission equipment
