If you're worried about missing drivers, doing an in-place upgrade should preserve them.
Otherwise, if you want to do a clean install of Windows 7, you'd just have to download the drivers from the manufacturers' websites, preferably before doing the install. Backing up your computer would not do anything for your Windows 7 installation, unless you're just backing up data, although you should still do it in case you need to go back to Windows Vista. In that case, your drivers should be preserved with your backup, if you do some kind of a system image backup. |
