Sugawara Koushi and Samwell Tarly - two Crows too nice for their own good.

That dual monologue... soliloquy... thingy (I'm not very good at this) really resonated with me. Ahhhh, once again a great episode.

Sugawara Koushi (finally) took the centre stage and the episode did not disappoint, hell even one of the nameless Karasono background member managed to get a few lines. Only thing missing now is Tsuki's shadow to show off his new serve.

Yes, this man is important. Momma Suga taking the lead.

Wonderful quote there. The match was great not only for the intensity, teamwork, and moves but also a bit of back story. I just love the way the show characterizes the players such as Tobio. Ah, next week should be even more exciting as well. I can't wait~

I could have done without the big honking flashback in the middle of the most exciting game of the series.

At breaking up the narrative momentum? Absolutely.

It adds to the narrative in regards to the attitude he has towards Kageyama, which is a strong theme in this match. Just because it took a backseat last ep doesn't mean it just disappears

^ This.

And it is a good spot to get it out of the way to segue to towards ending the second set.

Still waiting for the OST CD to be announced for sale. The background music/soundtrack is fantastic. Also planning to get both the 1st OP ("Imagination" by SPYAIR) together with the 2nd ED ("LEO" by tacica) when the 2nd ED gets released on 10 September 2014.

Am I the only one who thinks that this match is more Sugawara vs Oikawa than Kageyama vs Oikawa? I mean, Suga is the nice senpai of regular talent who wants to strengthen Kageyama, and it's his play-style that starts messing up Oikawa. Meanwhile Oikawa is talented and wants to crush Kageyama, and wanted that since he first became Kageyama's senpai. Kageyama sort of ends up being to focus of it all, though (and he has his own rivalry).

You'll be waiting a long time before it happens. The OST is currently being released three tracks a time with each BD/DVD volume. They're not going to announce a separate album anytime soon.

I'm very much aware. I have patience. Even if it means to wait until all 9 volumes of BD/DVD to be released (Volume 9 to be released in March 2015). I have also no qualms about waiting for a boxset of the BDs/DVDs to come out in 2016 or later to buy it as a complete set and with a nice box to hold it all in.

Just saying that the show will end on the 25th. On the 25th episode, coincidentally.

The manga and dvd stuff seems to be selling well for the show.

Absolutely zero question of multiple seasons. It'll just be a question of letting the manga stay ahead of the anime.

Have no doubt there will be a second season somewhere down the line. The BD and DVD sales quantities are more than 10k each per volume so far. The amount of merchandise is voluminous. The one that catches my eye is the shoulder carry-bag (link) with 3 designs, one for Karasuno, one for Aoba Johsai, and one for Nekoma.
