Not refuting this in anyway, but I'm sure you know that they're also known for the strange rivalry-friendship that they developed between them. Just feel like bringing this up, and I think it'd be nice if this series will explore that part

Oh, wasn't it that tale of sending salt provision to the enemy, or did I confuse that with another tale?

Lets like the next episode is the end of vol 3. The range seems to be 3 or 4 episodes a volume. I will admit that the pacing was a little fast and some things were cut out, but still a watchable and excellent episode. Looking like they will go into vol 4, my favorite so far.

I'm happy that Yoshimoto is finally getting the fanbase's love.
She's my favorite character along with Bontenmaru. ^_^

Excellent episode

A few things to not:
  • Hisahide fondling her breast was out of place, but I guess appreciated by many
  • Yoshimoto is exactly how I imagined the Ashikaga shoguns
  • Now that they have completely broken with the historical timeline, I think the anime can be a lot more interesting... or the plot will completely fall apart
  • Mitsuhide's emotional conflict was perfectly portrayed
  • Tech-mistakes were already mentioned, and unfortunately they didn't capture Zenjubou for the most brutal execution EVAR
  • Next episode with the return of Nene, we will be back to loli-service... OK, NP, this episode justifies a time-out for the scriptwriter(s)
And I can not believe that the official subber mixed Himiko with Himeko :eyesroll: Also (for better or worse) most modern languages are just not rich enough anymore to convey the dialogue at the imperial court

Oh! also a question Honnou-ji (本能寺) is the temple with that veranda on cliff overlooking Kyouto, that often appears in anime?

No, Honno-ji Temple is not it. The temple you are referring to that overlooks Kyoto and is in most anime is Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It is quite a cool temple, and pretty big, when I went there. And most anime copies it pretty well in design.

However, the temple that is shown in Oda Nobuna that they fought and is burning really, really looks like Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

Edit:

I rechecked the episode. Saru does say that the temple they are at is Kiyomizu Temple, so it is one and the same. Honno-ji Temple that is mentioned in the episode with Juubei is another temple, and it is very famous because of Oda Nobunaga history.

OT: Thanks a bunch! I wouldn't want to miss it during my 4-day trip to Kyouto

That's the first time I've seen Inuchiyo so flustered, usually she only has two facial expressions

You'd think after Goemon got shot that would have sunk in. But guess since she survived it didn't quite. Maybe the gaming point of view is a coping mechanism for being in this bizarre situation.

You have to cut him a little slack. Imagine going back to 1944 and hearing that the Normandy invasion failed. Or 1861 and the first battle of Bull Run never happened. Or 1815 and Napoleon beat Wellington. These are major history changing events. If this was back to the future he would have up and vanished beginning of ep 1 when Hideyoshi died.
