You and friends feel like you're out of touch. Again, this is perfectly normal pricing for a remake. They're changing far more than just the visuals. The gameplay has been massively improved, Tartarus has been completely overhauled as can been seen in the trailer. But full disclosure: I hate P3P, IMO it's a complete downgrade in every single way compared to FES and a terrible way to experience P3. So I'm perfectly happy to pay for a version close to the original but improved in every way, especially when the original game came out more than 15 years ago.
It's weird to complain about this because this is actually one of the few times Atlus is not being greedy as fuck. Releasing the same game a year later at full price with a few quality of life improvements and a bit more story like they did with P3FES, P4G, and P5R? THAT is bad. If they release a P3R FES with the answer added in 2025 at full price, I'll be the first to complain and boycott. Just like I complained about and boycotted P4G and P5R. Never even played those.

So uhh you guys do know that this looks to be a Day 1 Game Pass title yeah? Also the last 2 weeks and change people have left to lock in up to 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate for cheap so...
*checks prices* Wow they're charging the full $70 AAA price for the base game? +10 for the artbook and OST? And then another +20 for Day 1 cosmetic DLC? Sheesh that's steep and totally not worth it. |

Kind of full of spoilers but it confirms FES content like dates with Elizabeth and new events. Unfortunately, the release window is awful. It's stuck between Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Gonna have to pass on it. I have no idea what Sega is thinking releasing LAD and Persona so close to each other (a week!) when there is so much overlap between the two (turn based JRPGs). Are they stupid?

So apparently there are personal stories but have time limits and if you miss one step, the character is off-limits for the rest of the run.
Given how precarious mixing in all the limits for normal Social Links, stating up and the like...how exactly is one meant to make time for all that too? Unless this is to intentionally enforce having to do at least two full runs for achieves...

I keep seeing news about the protagonist being named Makoto Yuki just like the movies. I wonder if the dialogue will have more potential for results just like how Joker gave the player freedom sometimes; I mean I noticed that Joker had several types of answer just like that random "Welcome home" to Akechi or more douchebag like content. Then again Makoto Yuki was kinda silent in the movies with few exceptions like how he tells Junpei "personal space" or asking Aigis for joining his side. Something similar happens when Makoto Yuki smiles for the first time in the movie much to Junpei's and Yukari's surprise
