This actually was pretty fun. Absolutely ridiculous but it works.

Viola is definitely a kid. Maybe part of it is how Alyssa raised her. She is a witch and her sense of time probably is different from a human. So Alyssa being so childish at 16 makes sense to her but in general she should probably be a bit more mature than she is.

Nana Mizuki seems to be having a blast with that goofball though. Just playing an utter kid despite the age and physique of the character.

I do like the idea that Viola is so worried about having to share her mother's love with anyone. Suitors are to be eliminated and cats are to be avoided so Alyssa won't swoon over them

The fairy brothers are likely the referencing to the brothers from Full Metal Alchemist. However, the angst voicing of the older fairy brother is more like voicing for Eren from Attack of Titan. The fairies born out of gardner's fetish is quite amusing.

Even have Angela and Nana for the songs But the episode itself was pretty boring. Something weird about Viola's character design, especially her face. Since she acts so immature, I thought she just aged really quickly, but it turns out that its just the witches growing slowly. Which means she really just is a very immature 16-year old. Pretty sure that it would be more understandable if we went the Viola aged quicker route. Also, same with Helck, but I really couldn't care less about these mascot animal things taking any lead time. Psst, news flash! They're not cute! This is the first episode too. This giant woman deserves some props for being a steady stream of comedy! Just wow. She handles Alyssa really well when she was of course struggling with the early days of parenting. Love moments like her ripping the books in half! She's right though! Who cares if Alyssa can't produce some breast milk for Viola? That's not the measure of how much Viola is cared for! The nerve of that kid for calling Lira that though! That son has some guts! His mother is a powerhouse that can crush walls by gripping it hard enough. Don't provoke her! Of course he's not the only kid with some...issues. Viola trying to murder the elf merchant that has a thing for her mother! Poor Fennel. He's got a hard enough road with Alyssa totally not noticing his interest and seeing him like a little brother! Last thing the poor guy needs is Viola trying to murder him at every opportunity! I really wish the best for the guy. He's sat on this one-sided love for a century! That's determination right there! Spoiler for Off-topic:: A friend said she saw something like fairies in area without human inhabitants for decades. Once the area were accessible for humans, the "little floating sparkles" were gone.
