In before they're gonna use other known chefs from previous arcs as pigs to the slaughter to hype the noir guys.

They'll be fodder for them or for Soma, Takumi, and Megumi. Might as well ruin every character you can. I can see Megumi beating Hinako or Takumi beating Eishi happening despite it making no sense. I'll be surprised if Soma doesn't beat Shinomiya sometime during the tournament as well. All logic went out the window at the end of the RdC, which still doesn't feel like it was an earned victory to a lot of readers.

I don't know if I've ever seen a bigger fall from grace in a story before. It doesn't even feel like the same guy is writing this anymore to me. The Dark Chefs remind me of Yu-Gi-Oh villains.

It would've been better if the E10 are seeded based on rank but no, the author is too lazy to make more character matches.

I honestly think that the series is pushing it. Initially,I thought that the competition was between schools,but it appears that any well known chef under 35 could be invited to join it.This means people like Kojiro Shinomiya can also join it. I simply don’t think that Soma’s up to that level yet.

It was mentioned some time ago that Tootsuki Elite Ten chefs are much stronger than average professional chefs

Except these aren’t average professional chefs,but chefs who have been winning international contests and Michelin stars. From the way how Shinomiya was treated in France,it’s doubtful that the abilities of E10 chefs were actually better than top level chefs who were never tootsuki students.

More than that is the fact that Souma will have to possibly fight former E10 students who have way more experience than he did.I have no doubt that Shinimiya could have wiped the floor with Souma for example.

@AP24: Kojiro Shinomiya was in the Elite 10, if you recall. And Souma might not be at a level where he can beat him yet.

Pretty sure Souma gonna make a dish that will make the old man want to keep living to eat more as oppose to the dark chefs idea of making a dish that is worthy as the last food one will eat and then end theirs life .

wow, seems like these chefs didn't know their affiliation each other.

those noir chefs aren't bad like i thought, it's just their outfit is so ridiculous. judge himself is also ex noir and already looked dead inside, no wonder first trial is in noir's favor. the theme is last supper, the purpose is to make a wild dish that the judge himself feels satisfied so that he's not regret before die.

judging from soma's reaction, i guess he would make a dish which give a hope and motivation to that old gramp to keep him more alive , push him into light side. but i wonder what dish he would make as light chef when he is surrounded by noir? interesting.

I also wonder what he'll make, with him thinking that the "last supper" bit doesn't make sense. If he does make a dish that may give the old man more hope so that he wants to live longer, I want to see what kind of dish he picks for that. This should be interesting.

noir grandpa is surely crazy as he planned to shot himself up after trial is over. glad, he decided to drop his plan after soma cheered him up with meals.

this chapter reminded me of autumn arc when soma faced against subaru. besides, i'm curious who is book master? rather there's chance she's from nakiri too (erina's mom)? lol

so next chapter might be switch to either megumi or takumi, ahhh i wanna skip it then.

Yeah, if it's a woman then it might be Erina's mom. Hopefully we'll find out soon.

And it seems Souma is being underestimated by the book master because of his diner background. Would be great if he proved himself some more to the book master and gained some points as a skilled chef in his/her book.

Anyway, yeah, I also love what Souma pulled. That was great.

as for soma, i don't think bookmaster him/herself understimated him, it just he/she might be thinking that there's someone from non-gourmet background could participate in blue, which is the rarest thing he/she has ever seen. and anne's reaction was" as expected of yukihira" lol.

xrick : yeah, to bookmaster, soma is rare one. after saw him make simple meals to change person's life choice, it gained some of bookmaster's interest.
