The pirates ships are supposed to be "old" but they are continuously upgraded...budget permitting. They seem to keep up with regular military ships quite well. This new ship seems "exotic." Obviously some sort of experimental super weapon.

Nope, from what we're told it's... pretty much just to increase the fleet's size.

And pirates would have a far more difficult time getting their hands on hi-tech, powerful weaponry than an actual government army. Illegal, yeah, but even then within bounds (as per the whole "pirates can't commit crimes" clause). But illegal does not automatically translate to powerful, which leads us back to the first two which are easier obtained by a true military.

- Marika said that Chiaki will be a good wife
- According to Chiaki, Umi no Akehoshi was colonized because the planet is rich with nature and it didn't have to be terraformed. The closest planet that resembles Umi no Akehoshi is the Serenity System's Blue Planets.
- I laughed at Chiaki mimicking the sound of the vehicles.
- Chiaki's mogu mogu mogu
- So what Chiaki like the most from her Chocho Parfait is the banana?
- "Chiaki-chan, I love you" is the message from Marika to Chiaki
- Mami fancies the Serenity younger sister

- Mami had this idea: There is a secret weapon beneath Hakuoh Academy that will gattai with Odette II to form a giant robot and protect the peace of Shin Okuhama. Chiaki said that the author and director won't do something like that, before changing her mind and saying that during the scenario writing, the idea might have came out. Mami wanted to design the costumes for the scenario.

In the end, there wasn't much info learned from the audio drama :/ , and it is written by Satou himself. Well at least I can't stop listening to the Yacht Club song.

I'll not be surprised if the scenario actually happens . I'm still waiting to see what was entrusted to Show by the previous Bentenmaru's Captain regarding Marika (also from the Character profile in the ED sequence). Can't wait for the final audio drama that will be bundled with BD vol 7.

Is it just me or is the vast majority soundtrack way too good for the scenes where they were used? Sure, a few fit perfectly, but without looking at the episodes, the music exerts emotions way out of the league for a few scenes of people talking about near mundane stuff.

So if I understand this right, Ironbeard is using his helmsman on the Bentenmaru to either get the location of the Pirate Cove, or to draw out the Grand Cross. Or to let Ironbeard know when and where the Grand Cross is attacking. That is assuming "Kane/Coach" is working for Ironbeard.

Though that means that Kane is likely on Ironbeard's ship.

That the ship was using sound effect and holograms was an interesting touch. Captain Harlock doesn't need such things. In his universe, ships can burn in space with smoke trailing out the back.

Though if the other speculationis correct, if they had used Coorie's original design, it would have been too obvious from the start (since aside from the large glasses, her light novel face looks really nice. And I liked that design. It was one of teh few I thought was not improved in the anime.)
