Tommy vs Toriko figh censored heavily in this week's episode yet I really enjoyed it. YOU THINK THAT MATTERS!? *BAAM* and then 12 ren kugi panch with his severed arm. That was pretty epic scene. I thought this fight would be stupid without blood but they handled it really nicely. Lastly Tommy looks like friggin Tank to me from "Left for Dead" series. He took so many amount of damage from Toriko and even took leg knife and fork yet he was still able to fight.

Maiming aside, they removed all of the biting too Oh well, it was still pretty awesome, with an arm count of two in a single episode! Lots of power moves, and next week promises Teppei ownage, I'm all hyped up.

Teppei and dat nail knife! Another awesome character joins the battle, and his skill seems to be higher than anyone we've seen so far, to actually knock Tommyrod and save Toriko, who had lost an arm and left in the cold? :O Looking forward to more of this

He even said he wouldn't use knocking on Tommyrod if he isn't seriously injured because of Toriko. So that means he is far superior than Toriko and Tommyrod in terms of power. I kinda like his style and his job in gourment world. I hope in the future episodes we could see more Teppei in action :3

Next week's week episode will be more awesome since the two monsters, Parasite Emperor and Hellboros will continue their battle.

I'm more impressed that he went toe-to-toe with a Capture Level 81 Parasite Emperor _which he had never encountered before_ and came away with a slightly torn bit of clothing.

I think that Teppei's strength is with his intelligence and knowledge much more than special powers or brute strength, so I doubt he'd be able to take a 10-Fold Spiked Punch like Tommy did, but it doesn't matter 'cause he'd never let himself be hit by it.

did the whole cast even ever notice Toriko's severed right arm & the injured people? seriously, they were all like only focused on the century soup, which i find hilarious

They devoted a good part of Komatsu noticing all that and crying till your ears bleed, so...I'd say yes For what it's worth though, the scent of the soup has a strong hold over bishokuya, if Teppei wasn't there, Toriko would have drank that last drop.

Just checked out the first episode of this and really enjoyed it. I love the focus on food and hunting exotic ingredients. And the beast main character too, of course; they are few and far between lately.

Watched episode 41...

Now I want a Candy House too....

Too bad we don't really have "Natrually Grown Candy" all over the world with supply so much that can last a person for more than 30 years... (if you eat like 10-30lbs a day - if you can that is, LOL)

Just watched ep 50

Where Toriko got Trolled at Gourmet World.

Also... WoW.. looks like this series isn't popular at all here... no posts since 2-07....

Even tho Toriko is popular in Japan (it's even got another crossover with One Piece)...

I like the series a lot personally, look forward to it every week.

But no one seems interested in it on these forums. :/

Well, the manga's more popular than the anime <_<. Even th emanga though, while usually given good marks, isn't quite as widely/often discussed as some shonens as of yet...

Well, what's there to say about the series that hasn't already been said (especially in the manga thread)? Don't get me wrong, even though I haven't watched the anime, I'm sure the anime is as epic as the manga, maybe more so in certain areas.

Even though I watch Toriko every week so far, it just does not have the same emotional impact that I feel when I watch other popular shounen shows. One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto all hooked me when they brought me to tears. Toriko, after 50 episodes have not even come close to doing so. Hence, I'm not emotionally invested in it.

The thing that has been bugging me for the past fews episodes is that Toriko needs to adapt to all these crazy weather conditions in order to enter the Gourmet World. However, Komatsu is no where close to being able to handle those conditions and does not seem like he ever will. If Komatsu entered Gourmet World like Toriko, he would die before he would even land on the ground.

They have not even given Komatsu gourmet cells yet. I understand he relies on Toriko, but there is only so much Toriko can do before he has to be able to handle things himself.
