Anyhow, glad the Drive situation was cleared up.

While its true, the problem with that is that Drivecores and engine componants are two seperate things. Chassises not emitting does not neccessarily mean the Drive is not functioning, and enginning functioning does not mean the Drivecore is.

For the Drive functioning thing, The Gundams GN Drive continue to function even when they fight on the ground despite them not emitting anything from anywhere. The Ahead also never emit particles from its Drive cones, and we know its working to full extent at the times its battling.

As for the Drivecores, Reborns's Drives still emit particles even after its Drivecores are destroyed due to Trans Am it used previously againts 00 Raiser. The creation of particles may have stopped but the particles may route it from somewhere else of the body. Even Astraea for example has GN Condensers on its Drive extension on the back.

Essentially, your not wrong. But because of the apparent "not neccessarily always following" relationship between the Drivecore and the engine/emitter componants, its not neccesarily always mean that something that affects one immedietly affects the other.

As such, when emission does suddenly stop, I wouldnt exactly immedietly atribute it to the Drivecore being destroyed but the mechanics of the emission being damaged and/or both. In this case, it is safe to assume because since we do know the Drivecore is history, but if it was a case of unknown facts its not a straightaway conclusion.

Still, the Drivecore is unlikely to have been directly sturck in this situation based on the angle so it could also be a matter of the peripharel parts going critical, which ends up affected other parts of the GN Drive System, including the Drivecore and the thrsuters or at least certain things that make the thruster work.

Whatever the case, its not that important whatever that happened only that the Drivecore is gone now and we could safely guess that the beam saber had a high probability to be related to it, whatever the specific case may be.

Definitely. I'm already a fan of Mr.Shaman and it would be really cool if he was actually an anti-hero wildcard who became a good guy.

He has the potential, too. IIRC, Descartes was said to not be happy with the ESF concerning its use and treatment of Innovators.

I'm beginning to feel the same thing the more I see of him although its hard to know for sure. He feels like an anti hero kind of guy.

I do think that all mentions of Innovators in combat is of him though, such as Lockon's one comment in one of the trailers too. "You're slow for an Innovator"

Speaking of which is he does turn evil, I think he's going to be an Innovator advocate. "Those who dont evolve will be left behind" kind of thing.

Tiera did say that conflict between the evolved Innovator and the yet to evolve human is one big concern the Plan had. I'm think Descartes may play into this philosophy, but I'm just randomly guessing for the moment. To care about those who evolved into Innovators and to discard those slow to change at all.

Yep. The way the ESF has treated him also simply drive him to become the Innovator advocate SonicSP was talking about.

It's getting tougher and tougher to be patient.

So if Descartes isn't the main villain, I'm assuming that makes him an anti-hero then. I cannot help but feel that he might betray ESF and start attacking CB

That's true. Still, a lot would have to happen in the movie for a guy who looks like this to become a protagonist:

Actually, he kind of reminds me of Kamina. Don't believe in yourself... believe in me that believes in you. You wanna see the powers of a true innovator right?

One thing's for certain, he has heaps more of evil aura around him then Ribbons ever did.

Ribbons was more like an elegant, smirking version of Gendou Ikari ; Descartes on the other hand looks like a tripplefaced backstabing evil brother of Ali.

I can't say I ever really got an evil "vibe" from Ribbons, he seemed more misguided than evil. But this guy seems like he'd shiv his own mother for no reason.

............300 meters in length?? Each Fang as large and powerful as an average MOBILE SUIT??

00 Quanta........you are the knight. THIS is the dragon. That analogy even fit sizewise.

Christ, it'd need a Twin Drive System just to operate nominally.

Its Fangs will need a GN Drive each............................

Well, that explains why the Gundams are so heavily armed. This is the power of modern industrialism it seems.

And if the previous profiles are to be believed, its the first of many and a prototype weapon for Innovators that are to come.

I assume the taxpayers are not going to be happy with this. The president better hope its not election year >_>.

But........handy againts a bunch of extraterrestial enemies, I reckon.

God damn that's one huge mother...

Wow..the OST track names are quite spoilerish....hm...you look at the track listing for ENVOY OF JUPITER, that would suggest (maybe) our ELS come in at around half way through the movie.

Just my guess though.
