TV anime 'Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho' Announced for Spring 2017.

Plot Summary

Quote:

It was the year 526. The world knew that witches existed, and that they practiced the notorious art of sorcery. Nevertheless, the world did not know anything about the study of magic.

Our story follows a half-man, half-beast mercenary; humans mockingly call his kind the "fallen beasts." He always dreamt of becoming a human, but one day, he met a witch who would change his life forever.

"Do you desire a human form? Then be my escort, mercenary!"

The witch introduced herself as "Zero," and explained that she was searching for a one-of-a-kind magical tome that bandits had stolen from her lair. Entitled "The Book of Zero," the grimoire supposedly contained valuable magical knowledge that could be used to effortlessly bring the world to its knees.

Thus, in order to realize his dream of becoming a human, the mercenary must accompany Zero on her journey—despite her being one of the witches he so loathed.

This is the story of a haughty sorceress and a kindhearted beast.

So it's finally this series' turn, eh? Nice. There was no other dengeki series that could have gotten an anime announcement so i'm not absolutely shocked or anything.

This show...it has a lot of potential. I remember reading the manga and liking it a lot, I mean it's unique in the fact that it has a demihuman MC

The director is debutant but he's a veteran with lots of connections, lets see.

They showed it on the live stream of the Grand Finale stage. I liked what I saw. Mercenary sounds exactly as I was expecting and recognized some scenes.

Frequent use will make it dull and brittle; it's ill sheen reflecting the wielder's lost virtues and strength. Thus comes the saying that the ire of the calm, kind and gentle forges with vengful fire a fearsome bladed edge. Pray for those whose image reflects off it, for it may only stop through reconcilatory waters or icy voids of the end.
