Others might have already noticed, but that Gajeel x Levy moment also provided a bit of closure to the whole "Future Levy's letters" plotline that got totally dropped after the hiatus. I'm sure this was intentional because the letters ended with Levy writing, "On July 7, we lost to fate," when in this episode she wrote, "On July 7, we overcame fate." It's also heavily implied that Gajeel was one of the five names Levy listed of those who died in her timeline, being "her beloved" (the other four were probably Gray, Macao, Droy, and Bacchus). And just like how Present Lucy found herself crying after Future Lucy tearfully reunited with her friends in her future and/or the afterlife, Present Levy cried after affirming that Gajeel was safe and sound. So props to the anime guys for adding yet another scene that was sorely lacking in the manga.

I think the future Levy thing was retconned out/author changed his mind.

Especially since it looked like ALL of FT died in the future, in that final scene with Future Lucy.

oi...if they destroyed the portal, how are Lucy and Rogue going to be able to travel back in time and give themselves all that information they just got? This story is a fucking mess.

Happy 200th episode Fairy Tail!

And what an episode it was. These past two episodes have been pretty good examples on how to do one chapter pacing.

They sure hit the 200 mark in style.

Certainly couldn't help feeling the emotions at the end of the episode when Gray figured it out. He as much as anyone got saved by that move from Ultear. A ton of grief for him having been saved three times between Ul and Ultear and in the end he couldn't save either of them. I have to think that's the reason for keeping Juvia away. He just keeps losing women in his life.

Certainly a sad moment as well for Meldy and Jellal. Now the lonely trio has become a duo. Yet they just have to keep on moving forward and investigate the next threat coming their way.

As long as the trigger that turned Rogue into Future Rogue doesn't happen, there's no need to travel back anymore. Just be happy that the arc is over and move it along.

I was wondering who the old lady was, and as soon as the title came, it was obvious who it was. Overall, a very good episode, even if there was no action. It ended very emotionally.

As for the time travel thing, I'm glad it is over. That was a messy way to end, and it does not make sense. I'll try not to think to hard.

Relaxed episode.
The old lady was nice.
Shame Ultear payed such a high price using that magic.
Still, without her most of them would be dead & dragons would destroy everything.
Guess some clean up was necessary after all that happened.
That letter was very touching.
Guess it was too much for her to say goodbye any other way.
Very nice, but bitter-sweet episode.

Man, that was too bittersweet. I liked Ultear, and was sad to see her go. Although I would have preferred if she died, then to turn into an old lady. To me, it's kind of a even more punishment that she has to spend every day alone. She didn't even had a nice guy to love her throughout the life! ;_;

I get so damn rustled whenever there's time travel in fiction and the writer doesn't even make an effort to cover for the paradoxes.

Like, why even put in time travel then?? Up until now I liked the story of Fairy Tail, too. I'm never going to get over this. Fuck.

There are lots of different theories of how Time Travel works, so it isn't wrong persay. It's only wrong due to current theories about how it works. When he wrote it, it wasn't that arbitrary.

So basically the only time you want to deal with time is when it involves Dialga and Palkia huh...

As for the filler arcs new character Lets face it this girl looks more like a grown up meredy then the one we know in CS (of course the whip is a nice touch and if she had meredy's powers.... that would be some fun S&M stuff
