Because what happens next time when Thanos show up with his godly powers and infinity stones? Is Tony going to say "we are going to lose to him anyway, so might as well surrender and be his servants" too? If you don't want something, then fight it. If you are not willing to fight for it, then turn over your superhero badge and go back to being a civilian. Steve Rogers faced Loki in hand to hand combat, even though he couldn't win. If he needed to he would face the entire 3rd Reich by himself alone. So when faced with the Act, he oppose it. Because he doesn't fight to win, he fight because he needed to fight. Ironman can't fight the UN? Ironman can't fight the world's army? Then what chance does Earth have against the galactic threats of the Marvel universe? Someone has to fight the battles that needed fighting, and it seems Tony Stark surrendered. I guess what it boils down to, is that I would not want the MCU Tony Stark be responsible for the defence of Planet Earth. Because he is just as likely to betray humanity if he thinks defeat is likely.

The reviews have been crazy good for this movie. Many said this is the best Marvel film yet, a near-perfect popcorn movie, and it legitimizes the premise where (many) superheroes fight each other (with its deft and fun execution) after BvS crashed it.
This might be the "superhero vs superhero"-movie that we need and deserve. Well, at least I know I'll use my money (which I've planned for BvS before I decided to withheld/called it off) to watch Civil War when it plays in theaters.

His point is that there is no point fighting because he can't win. But if that is true then Tony Stark might as well have stayed in his cave building Jericho missiles for the Ten Rings.

Without seeing the movie who knows, but I don't think Tony would just go with the UN on this based on a "well we can't win this anyways" point of view. Seems much more reasonable and likely this is just based on his experiences to this point. That there is a threat that the Avengers and other super powered people pose to the world and having some control over their actions isn't the worst idea. That he doesn't want to create a threat that will destroy everyone he cares about and feels that the world having some control over them will keep that from happening.

Not to mention with Tony express agreement from start, he may become influential figure regarding future development of the Accord. So there's also possibility that his decision come from the thought of "Its better now when we still have influence and may negotiate things than later". |

I wanted this to be great, but it was only okay. All the promotiomal material got me so excited.
It was nice to see Spiderman, but I feel like he was misused. It's almost like he was reduced to a joke compared to his role in the comics. I still liked the movie, but my biggest complaint is that the villain is a lame nobody. It should have been Red Skull or just focus on the conflict between sides. All in all, it's a fun movie, but I liked Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice better. I'm looking forward to the possibility of X Men Apocalypse being better than both. We'll see in a month.

Spiderman can't stop talking nonsense which actually very good
I like Tom holand... By the way, I find it's funny when spiderman said "you have metal? That's awesome dude!" Or "oh shit" when he saw antman become giantman

That was... surprisingly great. I came in living down the hype of superhero films of the last few years given how disappointed I was with BvS, but the movie surpassed my expectations overall.
Thing is the most impressive thing about the movie wasn't the Avengers saving the world, but the Avengers saving themselves in the middle of one man's quest for revenge. Your growing animosity between each member was so thick and palpable, with both sides making very logical and passionate arguments for their decisions, that you can't help but root for all of them. The differences in the way they fought was really evident between those who really didn't want to do what they were doing, and those who were outright trying to kill each other. And just when you thought we were going to have one happy ending with the Avengers as one big happy family again... Spoiler for Final twist spoilers:
All in all the movie shows why the Captain America movies are my favorite in the MCU. Almost as good as Winter Soldier. DC seriously needs to get their shit together if they want to compete. And speaking of getting their shit together, well, the Avengers need to get theirs too. The Infinity War is looming over the horizon, and Thanos isn't going to wait for them to get things together in therapy. The entire squad's been presented now. I guess all we need to know now if whether Doctor Strange is part of this continuity or not.
