man, Chibita's flower fairy story would make the episode's ending depressing as heck if it weren't for Karamatsu's version of the story, also not sure his version of the girl was caused by him DOING IT WRONG by pouring a non-water substance on the plant, what is it with the theme of the unexpected guys having tragic romance stories?

Chibita's story didn't really do anything for me, for one, this is the second time they did the "tragic girlfriend" thing and two, while this one was cute it didn't really have the impact of the Juushimatsu's girlfriend story. I hope the next time they want to do something dramatic they won't go with a sad girlfriend story. Maybe you'll play as Totoko, and the aim is to find all six of them girlfriends so they finally stop bothering you? |

And yeah, agree on the "sad girlfriend" plot. I guess this time it felt a bit... gratuitous? Like, the first time there was an actual, solid reason to believe the connection between Jyushimatsu and the girl has some human grounds. This one was more like a fairy tale - in fact I'd say the trope of a man caring for an animal/plant/object and then getting repaid by it in woman form is pretty common in Japanese folklore. So yeah. At a point I thought they'd actually twist it by having Flower Girl get pissed off at Chibita's obsession with oden and just deciding that he could go fuck himself . That would have been something.

Episode 15:
Jyushimatsu is still looney as always during a job interview. However, the best part is Chibita dating a "literal" flower girl... Too bad that his girlfriend lasts only a day, but at least he spent a great time with her! Damn, the feels is real... except for Karamatsu! |

That was a good episode but they'd better not use any kind of "sudden girlfriend" story like this again, it will get repetitive at some point, not to mention "Juushimatsu falls in love" left a much stronger impression than this that it's hard to top that.
Next episode is titled "Ichimatsu Incident". I place a bet that it will involve a lot of cats, and bonus feels . I have just known that Osomatsu-san has a manga adaptation! Chapter 1 in English here. (translation credit to mumble-rampage@tumblr). The characters are the same as the anime, but the story is completely different. 1st chapter of Osomatsu-san referenced the 1st chapter of Osomatsu-kun (the original series) a lot. It shows how much it really sucks to be MatsuMom to have these 6 NEETs as her sons XD.

1st part was a hilarious parody of Mad Max and Hokuto no Ken. 2nd part was not as funny as the first but a good laugh nonetheless. It even ended up giving a nod to the fujoshi crowd with the last bit as Ichimatsu and Karamatsu seem to be one of their favourite ships in Pixiv.

Mad Matsu: Lube Road .
Well, guys, now we know how the ladies feel after a whole episode worth of bouncing boobs and panty shots . Of all things, this show has just delivered the most consistent amount of manservice seen since the days of Free! .

The first half was hilarious, I was laughing like a hyena and regularly had to stop the video to go "NO WAY" "NOOOO WAY" "NO, SERIOUSLY, WHY" And those lines. They probably go on the list of stuff the seiyuu didn't think they'd ever have to say, right next to "whose dick is that?" The second half was funny, so secretly they all think Karamatsu is kind of cool? as a probably somewhat painful owner of a black leather jacket and stylish(?) boots in my foolhardy youth (no sparkly pants, though, but I did have leather pants, that's even worse in a way) I feel a sort of secondhand justification! It was also somewhat heartwarming that Osomatsu immediately noticed that something was off, not quite enough to actually realize it wasn't Karamatsu, though. Sharing his secret food stash with "Karamatsu" also pretty cute. (On a different note, so Karamatsu reads that sort of magazines, it's not a surprise... but he takes notes... and adds bookmarks... Karamatsu, I love you, but you're hopeless.) |
