He snapped at Shiro for that data chip and this is on whole new level (actually they can't even be compared). Trying to kill her would be the most logical way for things to go. However, there is still that split personality card which is yet to be played.

And I really feel bad fro Azami. I really like her character since she remained honest and pure in that crazy place even risking her life to save a friend. It's sad to see her meet this bitter end but I was somewhat expecting it to happen.

Ganta and a few of the other deadmen (not all of them, I think) are free. I'm a bit sceptical about how easily they were released (Ganta's hearing went exceptionally well), somehow I doubt the government would let "freaks" like them freely roam the streets. Ah well.

A new arc will start next chapter. Most likely the final one.

Hmm...I'm really interested in where the story will go now that the prison is shut down and the dead men free. And as Kanon said, it seems a bit weird that the government would let potentially dangerous people like them freely into society.

The JGSDF closed it and the government took it offline. Looks like the anti-Deadmen people did their job. Most of the Deadmen being in other jails and the police trying to cope. Hah. And a strike force made up of ex-Deadmen and jail personnel are going back. Is Yo's sister in the debriefing? I'm kinda surprised by that part.

Shiro regenerated quickly and left. Ganta and his companions are trying to amplify the power of the Mother Goose to restrain Shiro's power. Toto's trying to decipher the Mother Goose, probably trying to unbind its chain on Shiro's full power. We also learn it's Ginta's mom who was responsible for Shiro to turn out like this which is pretty much expected.

And of course, Shiro fanservice.

We finally see what kind of horrible experiments she underwent. She was constantly in excuritiating pain (her limbs even started falling off at some point, Jesus...), yet she still put on a brave face in front of Ganta. Of course, she couldn't keep enduring this forever, so one day, she snapped and the Wretched egg's personality was born. This chapter didn't really show us anything we didn't already know, but it's something we (and Ganta) had to see with our own eyes to measure Shiro's pain.

We'll probably see her kill Ganta's mother and cause the Great Tokyo earthquake next chapter.

I'm a little confused what happened with Shiro. So was she used as a test subject in an attempt to control/multiply the "nameless worm" and she's the only subject that didn't die from having the virus inside her?

And no one's there to stop Rinichirou from taking over Ganta's body, shit.

Shiro (and I'm guessing others who didn't make it) were infected with the nameless worm. Ganta's mother was part of the research that was attempting to cure it using nanomachines, but the problem was that the interaction between the virus and the nanomachines was causing a rejection, Shiro's body was literally dying and falling apart (necrotizing).

The director in charge, Hagire, took notice of this research and decided to experiment on Shiro further. Ganta's mother, already conflicted about her decision to use Shiro as a guinea pig, was threatened that she would lose her job and Shiro would still be experimented on anyway, so she complied and began injections.

Shiro was in so much pain that in order to block it out, her mind snapped and created the Wretched Egg personality. From there we can guess what happened....Ganta's mother was involved in creating the Mother Goose system, which needed Shiro's own body parts to function, and Hagire created a device that let him transfer bodies as a Deadman.

Unfortunately for Hagire, the research as to how Shiro is able to stay alive with the virus and nanomachines was never completed (as best as I can tell). So all of the bodies he takes over eventually fall apart. He believes that Ganta's body is the key to creating another Wretched Egg.

Now the question that should be asked, is why Ganta was in the hospital as well. I get the feeling that whatever the reason Ganta is special, his mother went to great lengths to hide. There's also the mystery of how she died as well, considering she had enough time to complete the Mother Goose system at the very least.
