Just got done watching the final episode. To think I only started following this series because there was a Den-O reference in episode 16 that I saw on another board. It's been quite a journey, and this is one of the few 52-episode long series I've followed. Worth it, too.
The finale having a noticeably different tone is something I can always appreciate. No eyecatches, no Butler network, no-nonsense, all of the cast making an appearance. I had figured out by midway that the fourth ED was going to factor into the closing shots, but I still got a bit teary (a bit, mind you) when it actually happened. That song playing with the imagery of everyone looking over the same sky...it's a nice message. The fake Italian was ridiculous and got a few laughs out of me, and this was truly Hayate at his best. Taking on the entire mafia by himself. Then there was more of Hina, the Student Council Trio, Ayumu, Klaus and Tama, breakage of the fourth wall...everything I loved about the series, basically. Which is what a finale should do - remind you of why you got into it in the first place. I'll be there for the second season for sure. |

I enjoyed this final episode alot! It wasn't over the top funny but I feel the small level of comedy was appropriate for this episode. Man now I'm sad that I wont be able to see another episode for a while (Please Season 2, come soon!!!!) The ending sequence was nice too with everyone looking to the sky. I was wondering why the new ending song sequence was taking place there, but after watching the final episode, it finally connects.
Spoiler for about ayumu and hina:

Great final episode
the ending when everyone was looking at the sky was nice At first i almost thought the italian was real but then i looked close and I was laughing at what they said Since when were Ayumu and Hina such good friends? the airplane scene was hilarious! Can't wait to see some more butler action in season 2! |

Holy SHIT! Kimagure Orange Road parody! wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
That alone makes the episode deserve a 10/10. But we get treated to basically Nagi-tan lol XD But again, WTF? Hina and Ayumu are like bosom buddies now? Since when?

I love how what the Mafia says is completely irrelevant to the subtitles.
"Barbecue! Pancake! Soft-serve ice cream!" "Italian horse stud." - Italian + Japanese ? "Today, the pacific saury is cheap!" - Chinese, maybe. "Ish ribidish." "Komattarube." - Seems Germanic, Slavic, or gibberish Erika, Ebi, & Yuna - Japanese actresses/models. "Cabaret clubs." - Kyaba kura, thanks to Google. "Nabeshin!" - "Goddamn." I do wonder where Hayate's red eye glare comes from. In any case, I liked the montage at the end. I experienced a lot of nostalgia there, yes. |

What a beautiful conclusion to the series. Nagi was simply adorable as a child, and the voice acting was fantastic. This episode got me pretty emotional, especially the lovely scenes from various episodes that ran with the credits. Luckily there's a second season coming, so I won't be in despair just yet. Again, great, great episode. Nothing less than the series deserves.
I'd like to thanks Eclipse for subbing the entire series in such a high quality manner, it is highly appreciated. I've enjoyed Hayate no Gotoku so much, truly a great show.

Coupla facts about Greece:
- You're not allowed to go around pawing the parthenon, let alone hug it lol - Mykonos is the most popular island in Greece for celebrities and homosexuals Dunno about Turkey lol. Obviously Hayate's pendant contains Doc Brown's Flux Capacitor and must've reached 88mph when he jumped lol. Overall I found this series had some very frustrating moments but nice conclusions. It seems, the better the conclusion the more you have to suffer to reach it like ep51 and that damn box! Nice... I'm gonna start the manga now! |

A sweet parting episode for season 1. The episode once again goes back to how the series started off, with Hayate protecting Nagi. This episode once again showed just how important Hayate and Nagi are to each other. Definitely nice to see how close they've gotten after 52 episodes.
Again, nice to see all the other characters as well. Ayumu and Hina together (my two favorite female characters) was definitely a plus. And the ending montage during the credits and ED music (which I absolutely love) was just a perfect way to end to season 1. Even though it hasn't been that long ago since episode 1, that montage left me nostalgic of all the great moments of the series. Can't wait for season 2.
