So, that was pathetic. I'll probably go read the manga soon (from wherever I stopped) seeing as how that seems much better.

While I do hope that the Hayate anime returns to adapting the manga, I do have to say that I enjoyed this series quite a bit. I enjoyed its structure of each episode focusing on a different character, and its surreal, dreamlike nature resonated with me quite nicely (epitomized in this two-part finale, where I have no idea what the bloody hell happened but enjoyed every moment of it just the same).

Well, it good was while it lasted, the final episode was decent to say the least. Despite being confusing as can be.

It was unfortunate that my Hina didn't get the kiss, even if it was just a kiss on the forehead.
Oh well, Hina, there is always next time.

The time jumping in the first part of the episode was once again a little bit unnecessary. And that last minute was the heck of a last minute. Looks like the author really goes down the Hayate - Nagi romance path... sigh.

At least Hina did have her speech. And little A-tan is really, really cute, riding on Armageddon.

Hehe, That was awesome, it's really rare a cute Hayate x Nagi scene, and this one was just perfect to end the series. Nice one.

Figuring out the whole twist all along, it's clearly noticeable that the spirits of the parents of our selfish, little-girl, Nagi planned this whole farce so that she got to receive her first kiss ...?

Ok. Hayate's not the kind of actually doing the full kiss, but a little peck on the forehead to whom anyone else made a big fuss, although Nagi made a racket about on Hayate due to kissing her without previous knowledge.

So, now that Nagi got her first kiss and remains on Hayates' safe hands, then Yukariko and Shin can now get some rest in peace and move on.

I noticed the Tanuki is Yukariko and the pocket-watch is Shin Hayak 10 min before the end.
