This episode felt boring to me. It seemed to plainly telegraph where it was going and did not vary. Plus the little sister's constant chatter and cluelessness just pulled me right out of what little engagement I did have. The show really needs to move her to the background.

That Antibodies network(what a double meaning name) are some weird class of Anti-HIE/Neo luddites terrorist as kengo noticed the irony they were following order another HIE, and that poor boy got more he can chew with that HIE.

The idea of the Presidential class HIE is something so ripped from headline as japan reported an apathy about politics that local and departamental(ie perfectures in japan) position are empty or just single candidate as people not care, seems in the future we like politics as much as now... little, Nixon head was Right.

Why? WHY, well at least 5.5 might work as worldbuilding but still why filler? i would like just a 12 episod anime them, still nice this will be a long series.

12 is not enough for this series, though 24 maybe too much if the anime staff don't wanna make any anime original episode.
At this rate i assume there will be 2 more intermission episode after ep 15 and 20 because the 2nd intermission ep will on air after episode 10, and since they announced 2nd intermission ep this early, looks like it could planned since beginning.

Interesting explanation, did the intermission count total? if they're pretty explicative of worldbuilding would worth it.

Because background info is important in this story. Major portion of the plot comes from the setting and context

Uh, no. He's has a tendency to empathize with them, but he knows they're not human and just robots.

Well at the end the bad guys won but still this might help the idea of a Mikoto 2.0 later on, still the neo luddites are hardcore

What is Kouka goal with Kengo? converting him to robosexuality? something more?

And seems the other friend have his own Lacia type and his own plans too.

Why am I not surprised that Arato was checking out the women while being invisible.

Haven't seen the green haired hIE for a little while, she really did cause a lot of destruction there.

Ok so her name is snowflake, she absorbed those security guards in quite an unusual way.

Thank goodness Kengo didn't accept Kouka, great save there by Arato.

Kouka succeeded in her mission though, and there was another strong looking hIE shown for a moment.

He KNOWS they're not human. Lacia and everyone else tells him as much and he's never refuted this. He just can't help himself from empathizing and forming emotional connections with them as if they were human. Obviously for a relationship to form, some level of interaction is required, which he never had with Mikoto. It's one thing to empathize with animals and robots, but it's quite another to form a connection with some random stranger you've only seen and never talked to. In fact, he didn't come here to for Mikoto at all. I recall he came here to save his childhood friend from getting himself killed. I have no idea why you guys are even bringing up Mikoto.

That is the whole Point, when we will break the 'mental uncanny valley' and as autonomous the HIE tends to be...they're getting the point they are much our equals and evolved from mere tools? Arato seems consider the Hie have feeling like person even if 'artificial' that is something is the strenght this series(alongside its futurism)

So very much, it really makes me sick how Arato risk everything to help a bastard who was a terrorist long before Kouka came into the picture, that huy did not deserve to be saved, he almosy killed hundreds of people, demostrating the worst aspects of human nature, that guy is trash.

P.D.: It´s funny, I just bought the entire Battlestar Galactica series (2004), so after just finishing the miniseries and season 1 I´m kind of expecting the HIE to take a page from the Cylons playbook of human extermination and start nuking the place sky high.
