Im still at episode 20 of Flame of Recca so i cant answer yet but from how things are, i think there will be some kind of conclusion in 22 episodes.

Seirei no Moribito and Honey & Clover would be my top picks from Incube's list.

Let me also recommend Great Teacher Onizuka (great comedy with the GARest high school teacher ever!) and Baccano.

Finished Flame of Recca and it has a pretty good ending... although it is an open ending, most of that arc's issues are solved.

Overall i liked it but since im a good quality animation freak, it cant be in my top favorite list.

Zegapain and Eureka Seven are mecha..

black lagoon isnt finished... theres a 3rd season coming.. the inuyasha anime was never finished.. only the manga was.. a new slayers season has just come out... soul eater still has a good 35 episodes or so to go before its finished...

though i suppose you could consider slayers as finished..

does the op have a list of the animes hes watched? apart from the ones mentioned?

Do you have a list of all (or most) of the anime you've seen? It probably would be easier to suggest that way.

I would suggest Negima but the both anime series mostly failed (but it's done) and the manga isn't done yet.

And I think everything else has been suggested...

Ah, Midori Days, thats one, I think. It has action (sorta), the manga is completed (not so sure about the anime never bothered). Its a romance/ecchi/comedy. Also called Midori no Hibi

Both Negimas failed if you were looking for a faithful adaptation of the original source. However, Shaft's production is very quirky and stands far above the earlier Xebec effort, being actually enjoyable, funny, and graced with superior character designs. Quirky, but great nonetheless.

Oh, and I can't believe that I forgot Azumanga Daioh the first time when it's the most watched series that I have on video.

I put in Kare Kano and Furuba earlier, but though their anime technically finished, they stopped at episodes directly corresponding to the manga's progression, so the story abruptly stops w/out closure.

Same thing for Berserk. Powerful, provocative, a real beast of a show, but stops just at the part where...well...I of course won't tell.
