I gotta say Misa surprised me in the way she handled this
Although she relied a lot on Remu, her plan was almost L/Raito-like in terms of thinking ahead.
The Yoshiba arc should end pretty soon (within 5 or 10 chapters perhaps), but i doubt they'll stop it here. Will Raito get back Ryukyu, or Remu ? I'm missing Ryukyku ;;

what happened to death note!? aw man it was going great until he gave up the note book and now it's all just talk. I can't believe I even started skipping pages after that. From a storyline perspective it makes no sense for raito to give up his notebook. What made deathnote great was the chess match between raito and ryuuku (L). After the last few chapters I've come to only one conclusion. Raito is in love with L.

Man I'm bummed. As readers there isn't any mystery or suspense left. We already know what the death note can do. We also already know how smart Raito and L are. We don't get to see the death gods anymore. All that talk is boring, how disappointing

I know what you mean about DN getting a bit boring, but i do think that he had to give up the note, simply because it was all part of Raito's plan. Remeber: when Misa gave up her note, Raito said he would bury his own. We're not sure what happend to Raito's old Death Note but i'm assuming it is still burried. It is getting a bit boring now but i really want to see how it ends.

It pissed me off that they started calling Raito Light. Hikari, Raito, fine, but Light? what was the writer thinking?

I agree with you about Raito loving L.... but i think it might be the other way around too. I mean, what was the handcuff for other then for potential lemon or yaoi? Sure, he'd like us to think L was just keeping an eye on Raito.... but i think that yaoi-izers know other wise. It's funny because Misa loves Raito so much that she is oblivious to L coming on to Raito. Yay for yaoiness!

I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE BIRD MAN IS KIRA. he looks like a BIRD!!!!! why couldn't it be that hot one with long black hair..... or the Raito lookalike?!?!?!! I must have sat and stared at the screen for about five minutes straight thinking: "It's the bird manny... kami-sama..." BASTARD! why is the ugly guy the villian. Not like Escaflowne..... or Full metal alchemist..... even Raito looks hot as Kira...... O, well.... at least what Raito or L kill Birdman off (Which they WILL do. They had better) we wont be too upset. I am still not chuffed at all with the writer/artist choice is third badguy. bastard!

Yeah, it has been a bit boring lately. Anyhow, I still think that in the near future it will pick up its former greatness. I can already see Raito's plan unfolding slowly...once we get past this curent stuff everything is gonna be awesome. (I hope at least.)

There is a group called Pedobears that is working on Death Note, and though the translation is not as good as Orangetangerene, they come out with a new chapter on bittorrent every Monday...so far they're on chapter 50.

I'm really excited about the last three chapters, but I'm still trying to figure out spoiler tags, so I guess I can't talk about it.

On pure speculation, though, I think this series is going to give L the death note at some point. There's an inner Keyer Sosa in L, that comes out every once in a while and I'm intrested in seeing what a guy like L would do with it. Other than use it as a coaster for his tea cup.

Wow Page 51 was exciting, and i really can't wait for 52.

It won't be long until Light either recovers his memory, or knows just as much about the Note as he did when he owned it.
And about Higura's resemblance to Greed, i'd say it's pretty close, but only thing i gotta say is that he's pretty badass looking. I thought he was pretty lame when falling for all those tricks, but he changed into a cold hearted insta kill Kira. Next chapters will be intense.
But i'm not too worried about our main characters.
I think he needs to see Matsuda once more to get his name. Plus if he tries to kill Misa, Rem will kill him.
Either way he's on a one way to hell.

Ah! They wouldn't kill Matsuda, would they?! That guy's already cheated death once. And L, he's so close to knowing about the Death Note. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the Death Note before Raito can get it back. Raito-Light isn't as sharp as his evil twin. You would think that some part of Raito would remember having had the Death Note. Birdman does look like Envy.

Not by a long shot. The recent hack basically screwed over the whole forum. No backups for 2005 activity, so you gets this huge-ass gap between posts. Arrrggh, we have to start filling this thread all over again...
