Def my fav game over the past years and spent way too much time playing it. While the different races in GW2 look great, one thing I'm sure of is I'll be making my elementalist a female human, just the same as it is atm if possible. Its a love thats grown hugely over the years I'm still playing Dragonica, and much to my own chargin, I'm a glutton for punishment and still at the grind>_< i'm also waiting for D3 too, these games couldn't come any sooner-__-

That's right.. INSTANCES. Hmm.. I probably had problems with money because I never kept anything unless they looked like they were worth something O.o Never sold things unless they were equips I couldn't use, or were too low level for me.

Fantasy Earth Zero, by Square Enix. An action-MMORPG with reflex combat. My prayers might've been answered. I'm currently downloading this, so I'm not completely sure about what it claims it has, but I'll make an update once I get around to playing it.

There's also Aika Online. The gimmick for this MMO is that everyone gets their own loli daughter kind of thing, which is like a support character for your character during combat, with Visual Novel style interaction during which you can converse and talk to it.

Anyways, I'm done with MMOs for a while. Aion really killed any interest in MMOs for me. Not gonna bother with any games with monthly fees anymore, so only D3 and GW2 for me. |

Erase any existence of my excitement for Fantasy Earth Zero. I swear that Square Enix had its INTERNS develop this game. Combat is unbelievably sluggish and complicated for an "action" MMO. At first it seems that all you have to do is put a reticule on a monster and click, but it's actually really irritating and terrible-looking. All the non-PvP areas are linear curvy roads with no minimaps in case you lose your sense of direction, which you may. PvP is the same half-done combat system in PvE, except on constantly moving/bunny hopping PEOPLE. It gets really difficult to move a cursor onto a player at a top speed of one foot per hour and take one decade for the one and only attack animation in the entire game to finish and deal 14 damage, if you even connect.

I think he meant that as a good thing
Anyway... will there ever be an MMORPG where theres no horrendous level grinding? with fully customizable characters? with great pvp/pk environment, none of that faction bullshit, but rather I hate you or you taking my mob/etc, so I kills you type of deal. A guy can dream right? D:

Remember, MMO's are made so people have to KEEP playing so the company can make more money, and unfortunately, the easiest way for companies to develop content without putting in too much effort is to use the carrot on a stick model, and hence, GRIND. Also, most companies want to exploit the casual market, and most casual gamers definitely do not like people randomly PKing them. |

Hmmm, may have to check Aika out. Been playing Florensia lately -- the only novel thing about it is the extensive sea battle system and leveling. That's fun.
Not an anime MMO but Allods Online is a Russian MMO recently licensed for Europe and the US via gPotato. Its actually quite interesting ... lovely Russian flavor, particularly on the "dark side". Some unique races and classes.

Now, while it's true that MMOs are made for grinding and chatting, there could be an MMO with a reasonable level up rate (like less than 2.1bil exp to LV200 when you take 5k per kill) and just have a high level cap. My MMO standard is one year; if it can keep a player interested for that long, then it's good enough. Of course, events and useful patches are necessary to keep the players interested...not only new content like towns/events but also UI updates, new skills/systems, etc. Afaik some MMOs got channels where you can and can't PK, and even a war channel just for PKing, where players' names are encoded for the sake of anonymity |

I'm putting my hope on T.E.R.A which is made by the same team. Though my excitement toned down a lot when the they got a 2milion dollar fine for taking the source code with them when they quit NCSoft. And 2 developers got 2 year jail time. |

I think AION spoiled me on the character creation system. It's the one thing it did very well. I didn't see a single clone of me the entire time I played, and saw TONS of unique characters (albeit, some very ugly, but good for lolz). If I ever get into another MMO again, it'd have to have as good of a character creation system as AION.
