She admits herself that her stories tend to be based on her own experiences so I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

Wasn't there an interview of her about True Tears, and she said Hiromi was what was she was like in High School, and Noe was what she wanted to be?

Sure Jun's discovery of her father's infidelity mirror's Okada's own life, but I still say Jun is closer to her ideal self (Noe) than what it really was in reality. After all, Okada was also pretty much Jintan going by the excerpts (she was basically skipping school all the time), and Jun pretty much is anything but dark and brooding for most of the film.

I only watched Kiznaiver. While I kinda enjoyed the series, some romances seemed came out of nowhere to me.

Well, her story has all the trappings needed for a great anime story. You just needed to bend what actually happened for the stereotypical otaku self-insert character to come in and fix her. Hey, it might just work

I think the article's author was talking about shows where Okada both created the concept and wrote the script. I'm not sure how often this happens in actual productions though. Both Mine Fujiko and AKB0048 were original works but were made in concert with strong directors, Yamamoto Sayo and Kawamori Shouji. Though Okada wrote both scripts, I'm not sure they would qualify as "100% Okada."

I think she already did that, lol, considering the basis in Anohana and Anthem of the Heart; have not seen the later.

I suppose Hana Saku Iroha too. Although who Kou, Sui and Minko represent probably are even more disturbing questions.

Well, after reading her autobiography it was pretty clear it would make for some pretty good TV in the same way her usual works do. I don't know how much creative liberty she took with what she wrote in that book though because it sounded almost like the prototype of an one of her shows
