Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki is getting an anime adaptation

Plot:

A new type of VRMMO called "One More Free Life Online" is out. He logs in as a young boy avatar called "Earth". Taichi Tanaka (38, single) has a regular office job and enjoys playing video games in his free time. In a world where the player is free to do as they wish, he decides to master a skill that's been deemed to be useless! He makes potions that are too much of a hassle to make, cooks food that is excessively too good, and uses bizarre original weapons to hunt monsters... An adventure manga about an ordinary middle-aged man leisurely enjoying his VRMMO sandbox game!

I recall this being a rather amusing manga.

He found so many ways of playing the game unconventionally compared to everyone else. Yeah....I never thought this would become an anime.

Well I was enjoying the chapter a little but the potion incident happened. Out of nowhere the cheap infinite selling potion of the NPC is over so everybody needs to depend on MC just because, there is no other reason.

I didn't hate it, but this is definitely very generic, will keep watching just because it seems like it will be a more relaxed watch.

Hmm...this worked much better for me as a manga. I don't like it as an anime, but as a manga I can read it to pass time.

It's probably because with the manga I can adjust the pacing and read faster. With the anime I can't do that so it takes awhile to get through less interesting parts. Oh well. I want to see at least a couple of the game's female characters before I stop watching it.

Yeah, I think the problem with this anime is anime need to keep moving while you can pause reading with manga.
This story live up to its title, it favors ability to pause reading anytime audience / readers wanted to, so when things have to keep moving it felt weird.

There were other players with apothecary skill but it considered less beneficial before due to no one knows NPC can run out of items + menial tasks needed (not many people want to spent time picking and sorting herbs) so it became difficult to find one with decent skill level to create basic medicine.

This episode did it right making MC explanation about crafting to be center of episode. Its not for everyone (requires a lot of time and resources to keep going) so if NPC sells equipments decent enough to clear challenge, no reason for even skilled players to focus on skills like 'create potion' instead of combat skill without specific need.

I swear the MC must be gay. Queen is very cute, and to get angry because someone that looks like that wants to sneak into your bed... yea, can't fathom that. I'd be taking that opportunity to see how R-18 the game engine will let me go, lol. Also as the owners' goal is to develop their AI (not that he has any idea about that), I'd be curious to see what sexual experience would do as far as the bot education

Also he just got done saying he'd be nicer to them, then smacks her with the harisen simply for asking for seconds. I see he isn't putting that thought into practice yet.

I'd assume dragons are fairly intelligent; I'm surprised green there didn't foresee a problem with returning home with a limited supply of food. You'd think he'd have taken the opportunity to get a culinary education before going back so it can be sustainable.
