Light novel series 'The Wrong Way to use Healing Magic' is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Synopsis

Quote:

Ken Usato is a normal high-schooler in every sense of the word—average grades, dreams, and a tendency to dislike extraordinary people. However, when he encounters the president and the vice president of the student council, both popular and extraordinary, he immediately befriends them. All of this is interrupted when Ken's new friends are summoned into another world—and he accidentally gets summoned as well!

Dejected and with no way to return, he resigns himself to staying quietly in the new world—until he finds out he has an affinity for healing magic, a very rare form of magic which gives him both self-confidence and the attention of all mages. However, not all attention is good, which is something Ken realizes when he is noticed by a crazy fellow healing magic user…

Hell yeah! I love this one, especially as it's rare case where healing magic is used to actually help people instead of giving cancer or making rapes too easy...

I assume Covid complications, funding, quality control, etc.

The stranger thing is why they didn't choose to make the anime while the novels were still being published. The last Vol 12 released in March 2020, anime announcement was in 2021.

Meanwhile the original WN is still ongoing with no end in sight, and the author had to amend the WN content for the last few LN volumes so they could end it.

I'd almost forgotten that I had read some of this one. Honestly, it should make for a pretty solid anime. The concept works and I'm pretty sure the characters were likeable

I think considering it isekai is recipe for dissapointment. It's shonen battle manga that just pretends to be isekai. It has all, power ups, training arcs, nakama power, enemies turned into allies after their defeat and even rival character!

Oh shit it finally has a date? I'm a sucker for healing classes so I read the manga at some point -- it was kinda neat but ultimately too shounen for me. Probably skipping this one but its nice to see its out of development hell.
