I'm a bit surprised that they didn't show any hint of cameos in that PV though. (because you know there will be some even if you haven't seen the gme's site yet

The animation looks very nice for a TV series. And yes, it’s a damn huge bird.

If you want comparison to other recent series, Utawarerumono is more like Arslan Senki or Kingdom, but with animal-people instead of humans (mostly anyway), more magic & mysticism, and more moe characters. If you don’t like those kinds of anime or RPG genre in general, don’t get your hopes too high for this series.

On the other hand, for us who can enjoy it, I think this sequel series will be a treat. Not just the story and romance and action, I also miss the comedy of Utawarerumono

lol, comedy true. Utawarerumono has its touch of nice comedy. More like family oriented slice of life when they are not fighting a war.

reminds me too of when the white tiger pities Eruru?(the older one) for being... well flat... or small.

That bird is clearly personal interest of Mitsumi Misato(one of the original character designers). She's been crazy for birds since she started to have one herself.

The motions of the characters have me worried a bit, perhaps a bit more comical than the original series. Not necessary a bad thing but trying not to set the anticipation too high.

True. I didn't expect Haku to be a laid back character. His reaction is pure golden and the voice matched it. I also like the genki heroine.

The first season/story has Hakuoro the serious and leader type but this time around, I'm not even sure if Haku would be a leader of a country or anything.

btw, I haven't read the synopsis yet for this one. I just want to enjoy it so I don't have much clue on the story.

While this is technely for the game, Famitsu have a map of the location where Itsuwari takes place.
Based on that map, it looks like Itsuwari takes place in Hokkaido and Russia.

Looks like Aquaplus' website has been updated to add some short videos for some characters.

I got an e-mail from AmiAmi the other day asking for payment for my pre-order of the PS3 version of the game. All paid for and looking forwards to getting it

But... I don't have a PS3 yet D:

Well I don't know much about her character yet but I would agree that her character design is immediately more appealing to me.

Is this going to be a remake or a sequel ?

I've seen the original anime long ago, and I also played the game but really only got 3/4 through it before realizing it was a pron game O_O. I assume the game ended like the previous anime did ?

This is a direct sequel and the anime ending is a bit different from the game ending.
