Penguins are cute, sadly not cute enough to make enemies into friends. I liked learning more about Havia and what motivates him to get into fights with Objects, and really I loved our favorite duo's antics this episode. So overall I found this whole episode really fun, and I hope that the next one is just as fun.

I legit had a big grin on my face the whole time The penguin scene strangely reminded me of a meme gag I've seen before somewhere but with a different animal walking into a shootout.

They should make that Jessica video mandatory to watch, it really increases productivity.
Havia's fiancee is pretty open to his suggestions. She didn't dislike his "suggestion". Penguins really do make even the most tense situation fun.

Interestingly, the Penguin Thing bears an odd resemblance to the much less funny 1914 Christmas Truce of the First World War; some sections of trench on the Western Front ceased trading fire for as long as a week. Unfortunately, it never reached high enough officially to provide an opportunity for the belligerents to realize that the First World War was almost completely pointless.
And sixteen minutes in, we learn why mechanical engineers have jobs. Though seriously, Object railguns were mentioned on several occasions in the Light Novels of operating at around mach 5 (seventeen hundred-odd meters per second), in the low hypersonic regime. This makes sense, as speeds above 2 kps would involve much more dramatic incandescent displays. Anyway, for recoil, we care about total momentum (Mass * Velocity) rather than kinetic energy ((1/2) * Mass * Velocity^2). The current U.S. M777 Howitzer operates at a peak muzzle velocity of 825 m/s, so a mach 5 railgun imparts about 2.12 times the impulse on its firing mechanism as a standard chemical howitzer, and will actually do so in a manner slightly less difficult to control, as the acceleration is spread over a longer period of time. But really, at this point, I don't think it's fair to ask for intelligent, or even competent, design. A better question might be why they had railguns rather than perfectly serviceable machine guns... |

Okay, now they are just messing with them.
Hilarious episode, the duo misery, Frolaytia slurping, Princess undress, the goddamn baby penguins, this was a side destroyer. We also got a bit of world building, and Havia gained a bit of character depth. Who knew he had such a serious motive. His fiancée is pretty funny too. "Fuuuck" "That's pretty direct, but I don't dislike the suggestion." Heh. A submarine Object? What a development. I love this show, it's just pure fun. |

Flide's political allies:
"Okay maybe sending them against Objects that keep killing isn't the brightest idea." "I know! One of our planes were attacked in Antarctica! If the terrorists can't kill them Mother Nature will! At least they can't do any damage there." Later... *Reads report how they thwarted assassination attempt of a high value target * "Dammit!" In this episode the boys somebody else's porn stash increasing work efficiency. After miss Oh Ho Ho Ho Milinda is trying in vain to seduce Qwenty. Havia has a fiance in a Romeo-Juliet set up. She isn't opposed to them fucking but wonder how she'll leash Havia's wandering eyes. |

This was pretty darn fun. Plus I'm surprised at the depth Havia had. Thought he was a goofy guy, but actually has a lot going on. Thought for a while there it was a betrothal he wasn't all that invested in....but he does care about the girl. Plus she's pretty darn hilarious herself and a very good match for him. I mean her reaction to him just randomly yelling "fuuuck!" was top notch. Hopefully she calls more often.
Penguins, the creatures of peace . Well until they pass and then it's back to trying to kill each other . This was just a fun episode.
