There's Zokuowarimonogatari, what's is kind of epilogue of the main story line. And after that, there's many side stories.

But for the main story line? yep, it's over.

What can I say, I fell in love with this story since the first novel and to this day is still one of my favorite stories.

This felt like a goodbye, watching Mayoi becoming a god for good, Shinobu saying her true feelings about Araragi and what's more important, how Araragi saved himself by saving Ougi. One little detail that I want to point out is how the date with Hitagi keep that magic from when they went out to watch the stars on Bakemonogatari, not the same impact obviously but still incredibly especial.

hoping that the Hitagi Rendezvous OP exists. Maybe it'll be on the blu ray.

This did feel like goodbye, even though I know there are more novels waiting to be animated after this. It was because Araragi's story is finally complete. He has finally truly accepted and saved himself.

Spoiler:

I must say I got really worried about Shinobu as soon as they mentioned Araragi had recovered his humanity in Mayoi hell, and was really relieved the both of them chose to be bonded again at the end. This is how it should be.

As for the other characters, it was a happy ending all around as well. Hitagi's romance with Araragi is going smoothly (though he might cheat on her any second ), Tsubasa has found a good job, Meme turned out to be safe, Nadeko is on the path to becoming a mangaka and has shared her secret with Tsukihi, Tsukihi is still as carefree as ever, Karen is still an ally of justice and could go overboard but her brother is there to keep an eye on her, Kanbaru was freed from her curse (or will be freed, I don't remember the exact timeline), and Mayoi came back from hell and ascended to godhood. And last but not least, Ougi gained an identity and will be able to live peacefully.

I hope Shaft will animate the rest of the novels because I don't want to part with this cast yet, but if they decide to leave at that, I'll be content too. It was a great ending.

Nishio Ishin used an attractive characters for business but those meaningless and metaphysical conversations were core culture of this series.
Though I beleave that without director Shinbou's surrealistic dramaturgy, this series couldn't win popularity for sure. Nishio Ishin should say thanks to Shaft.
After all, he was one of the most luckiest LN author in the history.

Anyway, I'm glad Araragi didn't lost his vampire power and it chose "the endless world" route.
