The tab seems to imply that the second note is cut at some point (at least by that second measure), so I guess you hit the notes, then drop the 14 and bend the 11 to its desired position.

Somehow I don't think that's what it's asking for. Most likely it wants you to bend the B14, changing it from a C# to a D# (and matching the e11).

To be fair, that does make more sense, but the placement of the full bend doesn't seem to be on the 14. It just looks awkward.
It's probably best to go with trenton_dawn in this case, though, since he seems to have any idea what he's talking about.

You bend the 14 up so it's the same note as the 11 so it's a D#

I love bends like that lol, they sound awesome

oh, this tab is generated from guitar pro (so if anyone's gonna know about these stuff, It'll be you guys), but it's the first time that I see this placement of a bend before. It's not clear... I guess you will just bend the 2nd string... that makes sense. thanks a lot.

GP5 places the "bend" notation unusually high on the tab. The bend is definitely on the B string (although it looks like the note is not intended to be held in the second measure).

If the bend was on the e string, it would look like this:

If the bent note was intended to be held, it would look like this:

I used a Fender Mustang with the following:

Stompbox: Tubescreamer (Cranked volume + gain)

Amp: Plexi (everything at 2o'clock, pre gain cranked, post gain at about 1 o'clock)

and then a bit of reverb.

Thanks for subscribing by the way!

I like that cover of Pasadena FWY. It's really good. Though the end part sounded somewhat weird.
May I ask, what thickness of picks or plectrum do you guys use? Can you say the brand, and it's material that it is made up of? I use a thin-med pick of 0.71 thickness. I just wanna know what you guys use, because a lot of k-on songs have fast rhythms with little bits of leads in it.

Yeah, I messed the ending up a bit lol.

I use Jim Dunlop Jazz III picks (The red ones)

They're 1.38mm and very small so you can pick really quickly with them.

Hi all~, I'm new to this discussion here, really really awesome work on compiling all the k-on scores.

I play mostly keyboard/piano, but my dad has a bass, so just trying to learn a bit... Just wanted to ask any bassists here what's the proper technique for slapping? Do you slap and bounce off the strings or hit and rest your thumb on the next string (which is what I'm doing) or...anything goes?

Also, just saying, you guys should do a collaboration heh.

Yeah, me and LightMusicBand have all ready done one together, but it'd be cool if we could gather up a whole "Band" and do one. Why don't we?

Guitar 1: BigSmokeDawg

Guitar 2: AznAndy94

Bass: [free] (S332666460)

Keyboard: Freshoutofthepan

Drums: Trenton Dawn

Let me know if you're interested. We could probably do a song like Houkago Tea Time or something. I'll edit the video and all the tracks together but in order to take part you'll need a fairly decent quality video camera and a good quality recording of yourself. But yeah, with that song is has two guitar solos, a keyboard solo and an awesome bassline so everyone who's playing will get a chance to do something cool.

In about a month I'm going to have about 10 weeks off because I'll have finished school, so I'll have plenty of time to sort everything out. I also might be getting a new amp soon (Got my eyes on the Blackstar HT-5H) so we'll see how that goes lol

Sounds fun! I'd love to do something like that. I can play any of guitar, keyboard or drums.

I would love to play guitar but I don't have time and resources to do a video cover. My guitar doesn't sound that good anymore ><

I'll look forward to whatever you'll come up.

@BigSmoke
Very cool cover!

Well, i wouldn't mind trying out the keyboard parts either~

And I don't exactly have a good video camera, but I can just record the audio in audacity or something..

Yeah, the quality of the video doesn't matter that much. It's more so I can show you all playing the song during the video (I'll tile all the video files onto the video so everyone can be seen at once)

Trenton - would you might doing the drums? I don't think there's going to be that many other people in this thread that actually play them lol

Freshoutofthepan - I've put you down for keyboards

Sounds good. I probably have an advantage on a lot of the newer K-ON songs, I already know them a bit because I tabbed most of them :P

I don't own a Roland or Korg or anything like that, only an upright piano and a simple Yamaha digital piano, so i can't really produce the kind of sound from the original tracks; the only voice it has that sounds closest to that electronic tone is the jazz piano..if that's fine with you..

No worries. It is a cover after all, so we can afford to swap things around a little. Just make sure you can get a nice clean recording with it.

I've added you both to the list.

As for guitars, I'll play Azusa's section and also do the solo right at the end. The other guitarist can do the rhythm parts and the solo after the keyboards'.
