I missed all these bizarre adventures from Jojo. First episode already delivered quality and meme material. What more can i ask?
It's amazing how Dio is still relevant. Was not expecting that. Giorno looks interesting and even get the award for the most fucked up hair style ever..lol. |

JoJo is back to Italian arena again. Last time in Italy, JoJo's pal is the self proclaimed ladies' man. This time in Italy, JoJo's pals are gangsters.
Then, the show already has another famous JoJo quote circulated around Internet. "I smelled lie in your sweat" |

It's fun that we're back to a more global Jojo, this time setting the series in Italy. I'm half-expecting a Zeppeli to pop up and then promptly die .
I guess it just goes to show how much the actual "JoJo" nickname has been dropped by this point that it doesn't even get mentioned outside the title and the music during the eyecatch. Although even Josuke's in Part 4 felt thrown in there just to explain away why he counted as a "JoJo." But it's not surprising that not a lot of people would probably call someone named Giorno Giovanni "Jojo" even if his name is phonetically pronounced in a similar way to the other Jojo's . Our newest JoJo is Italian and is certainly quite an enigma. On the one hand he seems like a perfectly nice and affable fellow, but he's also a criminal. He stops that woman from losing her wallet, but he still steals her money. Then he buys an ice cream for a little boy but shortly afterwards robs Koichi blind. Next thing you know he's trying to calm an aggressive guy down but ends up killing him in a second. I guess it makes sense for a kid who's half-Joestar and half-DIO to be all over the place morally . Y'know, I can't say I'm surprised DIO had an illegitimate kid, but I'm almost more kind of surprised there was a woman he slept with who he didn't kill or drain after he was done with her. And she was Japanese, apparently? Was she the black haired woman in the photo Jotaro was looking at ? So biologically is Giorno technically Joseph's biological uncle since he's technically born from Jonathan's body? which would make him Jotaro and Josuke's great uncle? Man, the Joestar's and their family dynamics . And I guess that just goes to show DIO's genes being DIO that they end up just randomly giving his kid blonde hair . Giorno also inherited his dad's catchphrase, although Gold Experience doesn't seem like it's the brawler type like other Jojo stands, so I'm not sure if we'll get another round of mudamudamudamudamuda. It's ability seems to be some kind of matter transfusion, even being able to change objects into living organisms, that also acts a shield for Giorno . I love how Koichi is traveling abroad and yet he's still wearing his school uniform. How long has it been since Part 4? Now I'm just imagining Okuyasu in his 30's and he's still wearing the same school uniform .

Holy...one of , if not THE best 1st ep of the entire year. We had a proper,non-rushed introduction to see who is Giorno and what does he do(for now anyway), how he relates to previous fan-favorite characters(DIO's SON!!! - non manga reader btw), already a few meme worthy moments worthy the Jojo franchise, and he's already in a predicament that leaves you wanting for more.
I'm one of the people that think part 4 was a tad boring by Jojo standards, though still a solid anime, so I'm hoping for less slice-of-life this time. The synopsis sounds thrilling enough anyway. |

OP and ED are great.
We got Giorno's backstory this week and the continuation as well as the ending of the battle against Bruno. We also found out Giorno's goal. Animation wise, the episode was really good looking.

Imagine when you learn more moral of the Mafia and criminal groups instead of law figures and people in your life that is supposed to teach you that and counting who is the biologic father of Giorno I think he turned out to be a pretty good boy.

Does seem like Jotaro can leave this situation be. The immediate goal for Giorno isn't really a bad thing and doesn't seem as if he's going to be a danger.
Heck I'm still far more interested in how the heck Dio is his father. Plus I wonder about the mental state of the woman. This person was involved with Dio enough to have a kid. And yet she spends years just going around partying without a worry about this guy showing up again.
