She's still in the hospital and she will be there for a long time but the critical period where she was put into that capsule thing or chamber was to hasten her recovery with nanomachine repairing the damage tissue. She was out of danger zone but still injured and can't much do anything for the moment. Well at least she already recovered from coma and has regained consciousness.

The anime really rushed things. And tend to explain it in the shortest time and skip the more detail explanation. And nope, it's not spoiler well except for the tactics of the other legions but the blue legions way of things should be revealed when Taku attacks Haru. 1. Taku did cheat. He uses the acceleration ability to win it. if you read flere's post about this episode then it explains a bit which skips between the fight of Taku and Haru. But I will explain a bit further later on. 2. Parent in accel world. Parent is the one who gives you the program. It's like KYH and Haru's relationship. Parent and Child. And further more explanation about the relationship will be spoiler because it will eventually explained. And the parent of Taku in Accel world is the capt of kendo club. Which gives you feeling that kendo club is shaddy one. 3. His hate stems with Chiyu taking care of Haru to much. The feeling of inferiority and superiority complex starts with that. 4. Haru's reasoning works because Taku is trying to prove his the best in front of Chiyu. 5. spoilers. Each region just had their own tactics and way of fighting. Just like how colors had their own characteristics and weaknesses. Spoiler:
now to further explain Taku's problem with Haru. Taku believes that Haru was holding their relationship down the road because Chiyu tends to take care of him more. As for Chiyu's side she takes care of Haru because he was being bullied and Haru was avoiding them when they start going out and from the previews episode. Chiyu wants the three of them to be stayed closed forever. It's like a triangle with equal angles. But Haru starts to avoid his 2 best friends which deforms the triangle. Chiyu tried to repair the friendship by following Haru which makes her distant from Taku. Taku makes a move of going into a prestigious school. Which is also good for him. And Taku's parents are strict ones. You know the type who wants their son a perfect son type of parents. Taku strive to be the best in all ways from studying to kendo. To impress Chiyu and make her see that he is better than Haru so spend more time on him and ditch Haru. And there goes the captain of Kendo club. Giving Taku the "forbidden fruit" The Brain Burst program. Which corrupt Taku. He used it in his studies and in kendo match. He become the best but he become corrupted. Just to impress Chiyu. And Haru take notice of this in the middle of their fight when Taku and Haru are ranting about their feelings. Haru felt that Taku change, he felt that he become corrupted by the power of the accel world. KYH explains that cyan pile was frantic when he was chasing her and reason to this is because Taku is using his burst points on kendo matches. And the nearing competition doesn't help it. He needs to recover his points and stuck up more for the tournament. Which makes him lucky when he discover black lotus. Thus he attempts to attack her. Most are already explain by KYH on why her secrets are still remain despite being found out by cyan pile.

I've noticed that usually both characters shout burst link at the same time and enter the accel world. However, shouldn't it be the case that only one person needs to accelerate, and everyone around also will accelerate at the same time automatically? That is what happened with Haru the first time he entered battle. Hence, I believe both people shouting burst link is redundent.
Also, when someone else burst links and you get pulled in, do you also lose your burst link points as well? Or does only the person that initiates it loses points? Either way, I won't think it matters in the long run since they'll end up having more burst points than they'll know what to do with.

Thanks for the replies. I noticed it since everytime Haru goes into burst link, both he and the other person shouts it. He does it with Kuroyukihime all the time.
With the latest episode, at the end, I also noticed that a patch was sent through the Burst Link program. Does this mean that they have moderators, or maybe the creators themselves are observing the game? Then you get further into it, and would it be likely that the creators are participating themselves? As for the purpose of the program, I think the message at the end is that it shows how one can overcome all obstacles to achieve greatness, with betrayal along the way.

the creators and moderators are all mystery
we don't even know if they exist or are they even playing or observing the game at all and that's why KYH aim was to become level 10 so she can meet them.

My statement may indeed be ambiguous, but I'm not rejecting SAO, rather, I'm rejecting the speculations of who KYH is related to. Enough of the somewhat off-topic discussion ^^ |

That said I'm starting to understand more and more why Yoshino was chosen or chose to take a part in this show. He practically lives for this sort of material. I have a question for novel readers though, was Haru on this level of moping and self-effacing or is this just Yoshino going overboard with his Yuki Kaji voiced lead character again? I have to admit it's starting to feel like Haru is doing that two steps forward one and a half steps back thing with his progress in being less weak-willed to the point where it starts to feel like a retread and I definitely don't want a repeat of some of the other Kaji/Yoshino characters I've seen in recent years. So that's my concern going forward. As it stands this is also why I'm okay with KYH being brought back within an episode even though I was curious to see what one without her in the thick of things looks like. The show doesn't really have the same luster without her there to get Haru to smarten up when he gets a little too mopey. Quote:

As I suspected, burst linking had nary to do with KYH's health. Heck, she was all fine and dandy in the accel world, so Haru's intentions from protecting her from losing were pretty much all in vain.
And lol at Taku. So jealous because even now Chiyu gives both of them equal attention, when he wants her to all himself. But who can blame him? He basically NTR'ed himself with the backdoor. But you know what really reminded me of Taku? This video, particularly at around the 2:20 mark. Lesson of the day for 'playing to win': don't celebrate your victory until the match has truly ended. But considering Taku's superiority attitude towards Haru, I guess it's in his character to gloat prematurely.

KYH was practically in coma for the whole of the match. If Taku manages to challenge KYH, he would be standing in front of her bed in Cyan Pile while having a free kill. She was most likely burst linked as she has Silver Crow on her watchlist. |

Far from equal actually. Like I said before, in episode 4 they failed to mention a very important part from the manga (don't remember if its in the LN as well but doubt it isn't).
Basically Chiyu admitted to Haru that she only accepted Taku's confession because Haru pushed her to it. She also implies that had Haru confessed first she would accept. So basically, she needed Haru to push her into accepting Taku's confession but wouldn't need any pushing to accept Haru's. She simply accepted Taku's confession because both her and Haru believed he would break off from the group should he be rejected. Fearing this Chiyu accepted (as we've seen before she really wants the 3 to stick together forever) but since these were her reasons and not love (not completely) she still pays a lot more attention to Haru than to Taku. When they are at school she worries only about Haru and when she's with Taku she seems distant from him because she's also thinking about Haru. It is quite understandable that Taku would be pretty damn jealous and pissed off about the whole situation. |

My MLP avatar needs a break, so I will snag this one up unless someone else wants it.
Back to the episode, it was kinda of surprised that one of the poster say that this episode was boring, please tell me what was boring about it, outside of some minor changes, it follow both the LN and Manga to a tee. Now the Blue Knight coming out early, now that is a new one. I like to see what is going to happen with that.

This part is one of my favorite parts in the manga so far but I was kind of disappointed with this episode. Pacing was off and I find the BGM rather unimpressive.
As for the changes they made... although the thing with Taku admitting defeat and letting go of Haru to accept his loss was dramatic IMO it would still be better if Taku didn't let go and have Haru his internal monologue that he will believe in his decision to trust Taku again cause you know that internal monologue is supposed to emphasize his character growth.

Very interesting series. I hope we get to find out what sort of "insecurities" Snow Black has, the frustrations and sense of inferiority that led to that form. Actually, I'd like to know the meaning behind the forms all the different duel avatars take. I'm a little concerned, because an avatar like that is pretty extreme in some ways. I've heard plenty of times about what it means when a child creates an image of herself without hands; replacing them with blades seems to coplement that pretty well.
And when/if Chiyu becomse a Burster, I'd be curious about the meaning behind hers as well... One other question, from someone who hasn't read the LN and little of the manga: is Snow-Black's true name ever revealed, or are we left knowing her only as Princess Snow Black? That ending line of "My name is..." is kind of frustrating. |
