Something's still strange about Mikumo, I'd say she has some connections with these recent events. Looks like Keith went into a coma after the fight with Hayate.

Good songs this episode, I think there was a new one and one that was performed previously before y Walkure. The Hayate and Mirage scene was so lewd LOL

Mikumo is giving me human protoculture vibes idk why. Also, looks like Fish onee-san didnt make it to safety and is currently unaccounted for.

Lastly, does Hayate even like girls or is he just that unattracted to Mirage that even with her pressing her breasts against his back he's not even the slightest bit flustered?

No wonder Mkumo is always naked. She is like Sara Nome a Song Shrine Maiden. She even has those swirls on the stone on Mayan island in her memory covering her body.

Meanwhile NUNS has a plan against the mind control. They might have a method of jamming the ruin network.

Barrette City hasn't flown in around 30 years. Add to that the damage it received during battle. It wasn't designed to take in the number of people it did also in evacuation.

Meanwhile on Ragna the Gramia is dead, Keith in intensive care, and Windermere is forcing Ragnans to eat their apples like with Voldor.

After helping civilians Freyja gets together with Hayate and Mirage. Freyja thanks Mirage for saving her. We get a bit of background on Hayate's father. He was in the military and moves a lot. My speculation he's special forces. The big elephant in the room s addressed. What Hayate is wearing is a Fold Quartz. Suddenly a hull breach separates Freyja from Hayate and Mirage. Luckily for Freyja and the seacats her reflexes saved them. Emergency bulkheads however trapped Hayate and Mirage with gravity offline.

To calm the anxiety of civilians Walkure including Freyja pull a Sheryl. Hayate and Mirage getting serious like a certain train driver this season try to fix the cut power lines as the island is losing power. Outside Chuck is jury rigging the power connectors at the back of the island so that Macross Elysion can dock. Elysion isn't designed to dock at front. Hayate with Mirage holding on to him fix the power lines while Elysion in stor attack mode docks as if humping Barrette City. With gravity back on Hayate and Mirage barely naked holding to dear life. This is broadcasted throughout the city with Freyja reacting to it.

On Ragna Heinz is about to perform the mind control the entire cluster plan but Rod has other plans stopping him.

So wait... was Mikumo sleeping in a part of the ship with no gravity and exposed to vacuum? Was that something that the Protoculture could do?

Also, in her dream it looks like her hair color is different; possibly notable, though it could mean any number of things.

Sure has a lot going on in the ep, even with the start of the 2nd cour. Seriously Kawamori, there better not be more surprising stuff. But ehh you'll pull them off anyway.

Mikumo is even more mysterious now. As I recall that was her "dream" right? Her outfit actually changed and I..I dunno. What was she supposed to be? Is she confirmed protoculture? (Now that I mentioned that, she resembles jellyfishes quite a lot.)

ED theme is kinda...okay. For me. Dunno about you guys.

LASTLY, Keith on a coma. I like how that turned out rather than saying he's MIA or something, it would be worse if he's MIA, could be presumed dead or anything. But on a coma...maybe he can still wake up. Maybe. I just hope so. /sob

It's an ok episode. The action slowed down considerably.

The Hayate/Mirage scene was awkward. It was supposed to be 'erotic' but came out a bit blank. There was no tension between the two. Mirage blushed and all but there was zero reaction from Hayate, as if she was trying to 'seduce' a wooden plank-Immelman. There's significant Hayate/Freja interaction though.

Makes me wonder if Mirage was put on the show as a requirement for the triangle or a real candidate of the triangle. I have my doubts.

If you ever wanted to see things coupling, this was the episode for it. There's umineko cuddling, Hayate and Mirage grappling, Elysion humping Barrette City, and the Sigur Valens pulling out.

They are more focussed on getting the power supply problem fixed rather than having a problem to discuss why she is pressing her boobs in his back. Although it would be interesting if he got a boner. That Mirage feels a bit embarrassed is normal. She is a "normal" and not a "lewd" girl.

Also I re-listened to ED theme for a while and I think I'm the only one who likes it now.
From actually being ok I find it so upbeat I listened over and over.

Title is 破滅の純情 (Hametsu no Junjou) which translates to... Pure Destruction? Not sure.
Of course, Walkure sang it with Mikumo solo.

I'd slap a child to be in Hayate's place. I think we're all missing the point though. Endgame OTP is obviously Hayate/Wind. Freyja and Mirage never even stood a chance. The only one capable of giving Hayate a raging boner is the wind, it's all so obvious.

More Evil NUN stuff, confirmation they performed an experiment nine years ago on Windermere and that "went wrong." Mayyybe that's where their cool looking hole comes from. They seem to be letting the Windermere act to get results of the cracking of protoculture ruins but I need to re-watch the raw again to be sure.

Mikumo is doing her best Mina Forte act.

Hayate is confirmed for not being the slightest attracted to Mirage. I'm sincerely surprised because if there was a girl who seemed like a 'winner', was her, but this episode made me rethink this. No blush or even any reaction when she was semi naked rubbing on his back.

Where is it confirmed that he is not the slightest attracted to Mirage? If you were hanging around in the middle of the air with a job do to, do you have any thoughts about thinking if a girl presses her boobs in your back?

At the moment he is still somewhere between numb and innocent but this confirms nothing.

It is confirmed from the very start that HayatexMirage in the end as cute girls always a no no, thats how macross series work. And I bet this is how they go, 'the famous Freyja sang as a walkure till 30 years old and die peacefully'.

That was fun, a good breather episode after the action-packed one of last week, too bad the subs are delayed again for this one.

That Mikumo scene, I still hold onto my theory (more or less), Mikumo is the Jellyfish God of Ragna or in other words a descendant of the protoculture or a being created by them to watch over the Brisingr cluster.

NUNS guy and other NUNS members plotting something and talking about mind crontol hmm... Oh hey, windermereans are giving infected apples and water to the Ragnans, it seems both factions are not that different huh?

I laughed watching Hayate and Mirage trying to fix that giant cable heh, but what's up with Hayate? something like that happens and not even a slight reaction?

Also new ending! I liked it and I noticed they used Hayate's VF-31J for it, so, is he getting a new 31J? or will he keep Messer's unit?
