Kind of a super meta isekai, where the protagonist knows all the tropes but all kind of stuff goes wrong. Or so he says, so far things seem to going mostly in his direction. Also, he's pretty OP right from the start.

Just a note,
The Ending Song that played at the end of Episode 1 is a Special Ending Song, sang by the VA of Makoto, Natsuki Hanae. And is named "Aa Jinsei ni Namida Ari (ああ人生に涙あり)". That song is actually the Theme Song for a Historical Japanese TV Drama named "Mito Kōmon", which aired between 1969 to 2011. The actual Ending Theme, "Beautiful Dreamer" by Ezoshika Gourmet Club would probably be featured from Episode 2 onward.

The protagonist is removed from the yusha duty because he is not good looking. The god Japanese mythology who summoned the protagonist compensate him by blessing him. He survives the fall. Without any occupation, he starts his aimless journey. The protagonist's power level is considered as cheating. Even he is a level 1 character, he easily defeats monsters and saved pig girl. Then, he easily defeats level 1000 dragon, but this mythological scale does not seem significant when comparing to the protagonist. If he becomes the yusha, he will not survive monster attack with his level. |

The only part which atleast as per Manga (can't check LN source as no translation) was skipped was during the time when Makoto was trapped in Shin's spell and seeing that Dream. As per Manga, before the part with Nukumi (which got showcased), the dream also showcased some aspect of Makoto's childhood. Quote:
So, in a way, the so-called "Meta" you speak of is actually something which the WN, LN & Manga adaptation of this Series helped form.
