Now that Kuu's been outed, I'm curious about Waruteishia. It's almost halfway through the series and we've only seen a few shots of her. A lot of the merchandise which has the Absolute Angels doesn't include her at all.

i think in epi 8 maybe that Waruteishia well show up

I think cause of what I said. I was rambling about how so far each AA is with a sibling. Since we haven't met Kazuya yet, or Waruteishia, I assumed she was with him to keep the flow of that going. I could very well be wrong.

Kuu is an AA so how is it that she can live like a normal teenager? Is she a special AA (okay that's obvious, why else would people kidnapping her ) in that she doesn't need a contractor to provide mana? But since she is an AA I assume she doesn't have a family and that's why she used to live in the school dorms

What I want to know is what happened to Kuu after the disaster 10 years ago. How did she end up going to school? Who's providing for her? Does someone else know about her true identity but has supported her and settled her down in her old school so she can live a normal life? I'm assuming going to school in Academia (spelling?) isn't for free since the schools all look pretty l33t to me, and they never said anything about Kuu having a part-time job or anything.

By the way, just to kill this rumour once and for all, the manga is not over. As you can see, a new chapter will be released in the upcoming issue of Dragon Age coming this week -- it even has a little promo image on the cover. So, I'm not sure where that rumour came from, but it's definitely not true. (P.S. That magazine seems very fanservice-filled! )

Just something that hit me, but why did Kuu react when Himiko kissed her? Kyoshiro did kiss Kuu several times, but nothing did ever happen. Just why, did it happen when Himiko did this? Could it be because Kuu "loves" Kyoshiro? I feel like this is a bit strange, anyone got any other ideas?

and this just blows my theory on the AA and their masters (contractors) being the only ones able to give mana to their partners out of the water (dammit! )

well the only reason i can think of is that himiko was actually forcing her mana into kuu whereas kuu and kyoshiro just "kissed" (but apparently we did see kyoshiro give kuu mana back in ep 1 (or 2) )

Hmm, that's a possibility. I thought they only needed mana to recover from their wounds, and Kuu wasn't hurt at all. I can't think of why she'd be draining Himiko unless it was forced on her.

Oh wow, that was such a shocker no? But still, can't say I'm surprise since I have a hunch that Kuu is connected to the whole Absolute Angel thing. Though I didn't expect that she was actually one of them. Could it be that she was the one that Kyoshiro said that was broken or something when he's explaining about Absolute Angels to Kuu?

--> They still haven't revealed how important Kuu is to the Ayanakouji family. Mmm, maybe on the next episode?

I noticed a definite change in Kuu during this episode.

In the first three episodes, she seemed so clueless, and almost vapid. Her head was always in the clouds. Even in episode 4, the way she asked Kyoshiro to stop commanding Setsuna like that was so fairytale-ish. In episode 5, she didn't daydream at all about ohime-sama and ouji-sama. She was all over Kyoshiro, working to get him to go out with her and baking him cakes, hardly even considering Setsuna. When Setsuna was hurt, Kuu looks away and doesn't even start to go into their fantastic kisses. I got the feeling that it was painful for her to watch Kyoshiro kissing another girl, not that she's scared because Setsuna's hurt. She's still amazed by the Kaon and Mika kiss though. I didn't like Kuu that much before episode 4, and I like this Kuu even less. It was nice to see her finally showing some guts though.

The close ups were still really pretty, but the animation quality of the farther away scenes was definitely lower. The last three episodes have been like that.
