Premise/Plot Summary

One way to differentiate this from Isekai Shokudou is that Nobu revolves around a traditional Japanese gastropub (izakaya), while Shokudou revolves around a restaurant. Both started as webnovels though.

Not gonna lie, before reading the summary I was kind of excited about a show about Oda Nobunaga running an izakaya. Alas...!

Oh well, this might be cute anyway.

Nobu's the izakaya's name. No Sengoku warlords in this one though!

I think there's an ongoing translation project for the LN (or WN?) of this title.

Well, there's Nobunaga no Chef, although of course it's not Nobunaga who does the cooking.

(I'm also surprised by the lack of Date Masamune cooking stories... he is credited with inventing zunda mochi, after all. Which can't possibly be true of course, but it'd make for a fun manga.)

Shit and food are related, maybe a good idea would be a manga where nobunaga studies his own shit in order to create the perfect shit, and for that to happen he would need to study cooking, so we would have a "Cooking with Nobunaga."

Interesting! I just read the english scan manga today now this anime hook me up.
Certainly this very unique but i hope we will have a consistent story plot rather a random story per episode.

Well at least this should have a good budget for animation. As much as I love Isekai Shokudou it did kinda struggle animation-wise halfway through, so seeing that this series will be by Sunrise is much appreciated.

I wouldn't hope much. As you can probably tell from the manga, Izakaya Nobu is also in the same episodic vein as Isekai Shokudou, though far less random since it uses its recurring characters more often.
