I don't really mind these waits, but maybe it would just be better for them to announce that Cross Game is going to be a monthly series from now on. At least then everyone isn't hanging off any news of how long the next delay will be j/k

Oh well, hopefully there aren't too many more breaks, it would be interesting if the anime ended up overtaking the manga at the very end.

Anime, it's Aoba who pushed Kou to go to flea market with Akane. But as we all know, in manga, Kou invited Akane out by himself.
This could make a big different feeling in my opinion.... Hmn?

This is to make some of the more subtler points more easily seen by the viewers, it implies that aoba isn't really comfortable with akane but isn't willing to admit those feelings, the typical pushing the one you like to another. Where as the kou inviting akane is far more subtle, because it requires the people to understand kou's feelings.

I dunno, but... I like the original idea that Kou invited Akane, and ended up bougth a t-shirt for Aoba. I feel like even he was busy dating Akane( I'd rather call that a "hang out with friend", not a "date"), but Aoba's always been his piority. See him prepared a glove maintenance kit for Aoba before went to Kabuki theater with Akane?

The next chapter of CG comes out officially on the 20th.

I noticed that they switched some elements of the story around in the anime. Aoba and Junpei visiting Mishima's team should happen slightly later, at least after the play catch session between Akane and Aoba. I think the goal was to confront Aoba about her possible relationship with Azuma a bit ahead of time.

Also, from next episode's teaser, it seems they will include both Azuma's birthday and Ko's birthday in a single episode, although they are said to be happening one month apart from each other in the manga.

but mine would be way better than the empty field with just kou and azuma going head to head for the sake of closure! I kind of vision it as somewhat a show down, acutally it wouldn't just be those two, of course akaishi would be there and it would be a parallel to their spring training for the new season after diamond left seishu. That of course isn't as climatic as Kou v Azuma for Koshein on a national stage, forever to etch one of the two into koshien and japanese history in a sense.
