anyone here saw the movie of Ars Nova?
just watch it and kinda have mixed feeling about the course of the story... first thought it will be like a compression of the entire series but after half an hour of some scene from the series they go to the even after they handed the war head to the americans... Hiei also made an appearance along with the other stuco mental model but the way the movie end kinda left an unwanted taste since the left a very huge clifthanger on the end... somehow wished it would be better if the content of the movie was a part of a second season... the movie it self is not newbie friendly manga aside, but some relevant info from the anime were not mentioned and if shown it was barely enough... and watching it without knowledge of the events that took place in the anime would leave a huge ? to the viewer |

"Target ship, one o'clock...!"
If Koei were to make a new Naval Ops/Warship Gunner game, this would be perfect cross-pollination material for it. They aren't, but someone else had the latter brainwave...
On another note, it would appear that the Enterprise in IDW's Star Trek: Ongoing has a 'mental model' of its own...

I was very, very happy to see the crossover with World of Warships. I am working on getting my special Kongo and Myoko now.

Gratuitous Takao fanart
On an amusing note, I ran across a piece of Takao fanart remarkable because I suspect the artist got their -deres mixed up. After all, one of those AIs going into full-yanderekko territory would be... troublesome.

Discovered this anime just a few days ago... and really liking it. Now on episode 11... so far my most favorite ship is Haruna - she really cares for the the friend she found. And also entertained by the episode where Kirishima fight the soldiers as a bear.

Besides the manga, there are also two movies, though unfortunately they aren't available legally online. The first movie is a recap of the TV series with approximately 15 minutes of extra footage at the end to tie into the second movie. The second movie effectively ends the anime franchise. So if you want to keep the anime-only route it's not a bad path, especially since the manga is definitely its own beast

I would give priority on watching the movies first... as I've read from a few posts back that the manga focuses more on the humans and has some boring political chat. Will try the manga at some point, but would probably skip through most of the human politics talk.
